POORLY executed. Super weird romantic dynamic that was unnecessary and never fully committed to. Nothing happened until the last 18 minutes. Super lame protagonist. The idea was there, the writing was sub par at best.

The story was terrible, the female narrator was the pits, and the only redeeming quality was the male narrator. I've really enjoyed others books by this author, but this was just terrible.

Wow, that ending....terrible. I realize you can't please everyone, but I cant imagine that the last half hour pleased anyone.

Original take on the alien invasion

Really well done and refreshing take on an alien invasion. Fantastic ending, that left me claustrophobic and satisfied.

Let's set aside what everyone has already said about the story being tedious, poorly written, and completely unbelievable. While that's all true what I truly can't believe is that these folks were able to accomplish anything at all . . . . I mean AT ALL! At every turn they'd stop and ask God for help, or advice, or direction, or his opinion. It was completely dumb. Whether or not you're religious you may find the frequency of everyone's "chats" with God a bit much. Coke or Pepsi God? Star Trek or MASH God? You get the point. SKIP THIS ONE

The premise of this book had such potential, but clearly the author does not. NOT A SPOILER My favorite was the back and forth between the main characters when she revealed she was pregnant. It was beyond tedious and just poor execution overall. No one cares about the details when 3/4 of the book is comprised of details and only 1/4 is the actual plot. The entire story could have been told in 1/3 of the time and would have been much more enjoyable. The narrator did an excellent job with the male voices, but leaves a LOT to be desired when it comes to the female characters. If this book hadn't been free I would have returned it without finishing it, but it was decent background noise . . . .like infomercials. Don't waste your time or money.

Wholly terrible. Did she forget how to write!?! Not only was the dialogue and overall writing bad, but this book was SOOOOOO BORING!!!!! It is really too bad. I used to love this series.

I applaud anyone's effort to get out there and write, but who the h@ll published this pile of crap? It was so bad I'm surprised the cover model hasn't asked to be removed due to utter mortification by association. The writing was poor, dialogue was poor, and let's not even talk about how much you have to suspend disbelief to swallow this terrible excuse for a book. so just NO.

Unbelievably satisfying ending!!

I don't believe I've ever come across an ending like this one. One moment I was beyond frustrated and the next immensely satisfied.
