Glass like objects
Revisado: 11-01-22
The story isn't bad so far and I'm only in chapter 3 but one constant issue is the characters description of glass like objects appearing in random locations causing people, vehicles, and animals to unknowingly crash into it. Based on the situations, I'm assuming the glass like objects are invisible however the characters consistently describe it as 'translucent'. Well..... I'm not sure the writer researched the following words:
Translucent: (of a substance) allowing light, but not detailed shapes, to pass through; semitransparent.
Transparent: (of a material or article) allowing light to pass through so that objects behind can be distinctly seen
Clear: (of a substance) transparent; unclouded.
Invisible: unable to be seen; not visible to the eye.

The premise is interesting
Revisado: 05-15-20
The story was ok. The premise was interesting. A revenge story about two crazy people turning their wedding into a battle royale between the guest. At times it was kind of goofy but it wasn't bad. The narrator did a good job.

Historia
Some campfire stories are real. It’s been 25 years since Cyrus Hoyt’s infamous killing spree at Camp Forest Grove. A quarter-century since teenage counselor Melanie Holden left him mortally wounded and escaped with her life. Motivated by a lucrative publishing offer, as well as a desire to free herself from recurring nightmares, Melanie’s research into the murderer’s life brings resistance from all directions as she uncovers skeletons in Forest Grove’s past.

Entertaining mix of mystery and slasher theme
Revisado: 12-21-19
I received a free copy of this book for an honest review and I honestly went into it thinking it would be cheesy or trying too hard to be 'horror-like', but the execution of the story and narration was extremely entertaining! I highly recommend.

Brilliantly Done
Revisado: 11-26-19
Absolutely brilliant! This book is an interesting and perfect blend of action, mystery, humor, and the despair of Alzheimers. I will definitely look for more from this author. As far as RC Bray, well he can narrate an IRS tax debt letter and it would be captivating. Cheers!

Historia
The neons do as they're told. Chemically bound to their masters by the experimental chemi-chip implant created from alien technology, they are genetically engineered at rapid rates to be servants for the survivors of the war against alien invaders. Without neons, reconstruction would be impossible. Colin Hanston - the unremarkable son of the genius who invented the chemi-chip - leads a simple life as a farmer, helping feed his district as any good citizen should. But when he redeems his voucher for a neon servant of his own named Michael, everything changes.

Extremely entertaining, thought provoking, epic
Revisado: 11-03-19
I may have found a new favorite author. I went into listening to this story thinking it was going to be very cliche but by the third chapter I was hooked. This story perfectly blended humor, sadness, brutality, and action. Ray Porter, as usual, did a great job narrating.

Pretty good but not for the sensitive
Revisado: 10-03-19
The story was very interesting and really not for the fainthearted or sensitive. I agree with the other reviewers that the ending seemed somewhat incomplete but the overall story was good. Hempel did a good job narrating as he is good at horror stories.

Good murder mystery story.
Revisado: 07-12-19
I am a fan of Ambrose Ibsen's horror stories, which are pretty creepy. This one was more of a murder mystery with a supernatural aspect. It didn't have the creepy, keeps the lights on type of story but it was still really good. I will follow thia series because I am a fan. Kyle Tait did a great job narrating.
