I had heard that THIS was far and away the best version of Austen's novels on audiobook, and I was not disappointed. I LOVE ALISON LARKIN'S voice! She perfectly captures the nuance and wit and depth of this great writer. Combined a great writer and Jane Austen and a brilliant narrator like Alison Larkin and you get some thing very very special. This is an extraordinary experience - over 80 hours too! Getting all the novels in one is an extraordinary deal too.

It's super easy to know where you are because the title of each book is mentioned at the start of each chapter so even though the Audible system can be confusing for some compilations, it certainly is super clear with this book. I loved them all and I loved that the producer put them in the order in which they were written. It's wonderful bed time reading. What a treat!

Alison Larkin's second book is FANTASTIC!

I LOVED Alison Larkin's novel The English American and I just found out about The BIrthday Dinosaur and played it to my kids and they LOVE IT! It's only 9 minutes long but it's really magical. I love this story. It makes me happy.

If you could sum up 'The Secret Adversary' and 'The Mysterious Affair at Styles' in three words, what would they be?

Perfect narrator choices!

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the suspense in both these stories. Agatha Christie builds it slowly and you just can't figure out who the bad guy is until the end. I just love that.

What about Alison Larkin and James Warwick ’s performance did you like?

Alison Larkin is my absolute favorite audiobook narrator and her voice is perfect for this. James Warwick was new to me but I really loved his narration too. I am a big fan of Hercule Poirot and he really nails the character.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I plan to listen to this on a long car drive with my parents. I listened to both these books in the car when they came out independently because my boyfriend is a big Agatha Christie fan also. I just found out they've been put together in a double bill and I am SO happy because I am going on a long car journey with my parents who are English and they are going to be in heaven listening to this!

Agatha Christie audiobooks don't come any better than this.
