Historia
In 1820, a young farm boy in search of truth has a vision of God the Father and Jesus Christ. Three years later, an angel guides him to an ancient record buried in a hill near his home. With God’s help, he translates the record and organizes the Savior’s church in the latter days. Soon others join him, accepting the invitation to become Saints through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. But opposition and violence follow those who defy old traditions to embrace restored truths.

Exceptional Historical Narrative
Revisado: 08-06-24
This is a powerfully written historical account of the experiences of the early members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is well researched and frequently quotes first hand accounts. Listening to this book connected the dots for me of many historical events I was familiar with and infused my understanding with a sense of humanity and context.
This edition provides the signature cross-platform continuous listening experience of Audible, which is a welcome improvement over the freely available edition found in the Gospel Library app (which is an amazing resource in every other way). This added convenience helped me finish the book, which I had previously started twice.
if you are a fan of history or want to gain a deeper appreciation for the early Saints, this is a must-read.

Historia
An international conspiracy among powerful bankers, business leaders, and government officials; closed-door meetings in the Swiss Alps; and calls for a radical transformation of every society on earth - the Great Reset sounds like it is one henchman-with-an-eyepatch away from being the plot for the next James Bond movie. But The Great Reset is not a work of fiction. It is a highly influential movement among the world’s elite to “reset” the global economy using banks, government programs, and environmental, social, and governance metrics.

An eye-opening look at the threat of ESG
Revisado: 06-19-22
If you are considering reading this book, you probably already have some knowledge of the threat ESG poses to the world. This book goes into considerable detail breaking down the work being done by the World Economic Forum to attempt to preempt our constitutional liberties and assert global governance.
The book is well-written and Glenn Beck himself does the narration! The audio editing, however is fairly poor. There are several instances where Glenn can be heard making an error in the reading and evening mumbling to himself about error, stopping the recording and starting again. A good audio editor should have listened to the entirety of the book and fixed these moments. It detracts considerably from the overall sense of quality. However, you shouldn't let this keep you from listening! This book is a must-read for those who want to understand what is going on behind the scenes in our current political environment.

Historia
The Renegades are a syndicate of prodigies—humans with extraordinary abilities—who emerged from the ruins of a crumbled society and established peace and order where chaos reigned. As champions of justice, they remain a symbol of hope and courage to everyone...except the villains they once overthrew. Nova has a reason to hate the Renegades, and she is on a mission for vengeance. As she gets closer to her target, she meets Adrian, a Renegade boy who believes in justice—and in Nova. But Nova's allegiance is to a villain who has the power to end them both.

Good, but not family friendly
Revisado: 06-19-22
We love Marissa Meyer and enjoyed her Lunar Chronicles series as a family. This one starts with a fairly graphic depiction of a family (including an infant) being murdered in front of a 6-year-old child. Also, the book quickly devolves into promoting the leftist sexual agenda. The book is probably fine for adults, but I can't recommend it for families or children.
The writing is solid and intriguing and I'm sure the overall story is as good as we have come to expect from Marissa, however, we will not be finishing the book.
Rebecca Soler is as good as always and delivers a compelling narration.
