Historia
A highly infectious, deadly virus from the central African rain forest suddenly appears in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. There is no cure. In a few days, 90 percent of its victims are dead. A secret military SWAT team of soldiers and scientists is mobilized to stop the outbreak of this exotic "hot" virus. The Hot Zone tells this dramatic story, giving a hair-raising account of the appearance of rare and lethal viruses and their "crashes" into the human race. Shocking, frightening, and impossible to ignore, The Hot Zone proves that truth really is scarier than fiction.

Historia
They fight without conscience or remorse. Their only job is to kill. They are the most ruthless enemy we have ever faced. And they are one millionth our size. When Dr. Lou Welcome fills in last minute for his boss at a national conference in Atlanta he brings along his best friend, Cap Duncan. But an accident turns tragic when Cap injures his leg while running. Surgeons manage to save the leg, but the open wound is the perfect breeding ground for a deadly microbial invader committed to eating Cap alive from the inside out.

Good story but overly dramatic narration
Revisado: 07-16-19
The book was well written and I enjoyed the main character. The narration was a bit dramatic but not so much that I couldn't listen.

This novel was well written and enjoyable. The main character was a bit reckless and unbelievable in some of the situations she got herself into but other than that it was a good book.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Very interesting and well done

Where does 11-22-63 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
11-22-63 ranks in the top 10 books to which I have listened. It includes all aspects of what I consider a great book. There is history, mystery, and wonderful relationships. I absolutely loved how King brought to life the late 50's and early 60's. I felt like I was there.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Jake (AKA George) is my favorite character due to his innocence and humor. Stephen King may be the king of horror, but I find his novels to include characters who have a sweet innocence about them. King may show the worst of the world, but the "good" characters prevail and leave you with a sense of hope.
What about Craig Wasson’s performance did you like?
He did an excellent job. I feel like his voice was perfect for Jake/George.

Couldn't listen to this book
Revisado: 12-26-13
What didn’t you like about Doc Savage’s performance?
The narration ruined the book for me. It seemed that it was a comic book or sports broadcast, not a novel. I stopped after 20 minutes. Listen to the sample before purchase.
