A fun RH series!!
Revisado: 02-01-24
These audiobooks are amazing - ALL of Tessa Hale’s audiobooks are the BEST. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!
I preferred the first two books in this series a bit more than the last one because i hoped to see Aura become a little more powerful than she was. All plots were wrapped up which was nice!!
Mostly, just glad Quincy was always on their side!!

Historia
My universe has been turned upside down. Not only am I no longer human, I’m also the most powerful elemental the world has seen in centuries. And I have no idea how to wield the power coursing through my veins. Did I mention I also have four fated mates? The charmer, the gentle giant, the psychopath, and the cruel prince who would rather kill me than kiss me. Throw in mean girls, assassins, and kings out for our blood, and I’m having a rough freshman year.

An amazing sequel!
Revisado: 01-20-24
This is such a fun series and I’m adoring the audiobooks. The narrator has such a pleasant voice and she does the voices for all the other characters in such fun distinguishing ways that isn’t cringy at all.
I’m loving Aura’s journey and her romance with her men and watching her come into her powers. I can’t wait until she becomes a total power queen!! Kai became such a softie in this one and i adored seeing Riven finally break through!

Historia
Echo Ridge is small-town America. Ellery's never been there, but she's heard all about it. Her aunt went missing there at age 17. And only five years ago, a homecoming queen put the town on the map when she was killed. Now, Ellery has to move there to live with a grandmother she barely knows. The town is picture-perfect, but it's hiding secrets. And before school even begins for Ellery, someone has declared open season on homecoming, promising to make it as dangerous as it was five years ago. Then, almost as if to prove it, another girl goes missing.

Small Town with Deadly Secrets
Revisado: 02-09-19
The very last line had me shouting “I KNEW IT” all around my apartment.
“El, we’ve been here three weeks. So far we’ve reported a dead body, gotten jobs at a murder site, and been targeted by a homecoming stalker.”
I really enjoyed McMannus’ sophomore novel but it was as great as One of Us is Lying. However, i did think that this novel was a lot richer and went deeper into the characters. This book had the whole “small town with secrets” vibe and I ate it right up.
I absolutely adored the characters and found myself laughing along with them. Ezra (Ellery’s twin) was my absolute favourite. I wish his sexuality had been mentioned more but instead it faded into the background. The sibling relationship in this novel is the best one i have ever read. I enjoyed the twins’ snarky comments and playful banter but i adored how they were always there for one another. Their relationship with their mother was so tenuous and i thought the dynamic between the three was well fleshed out.
Malcolm had my heart from the moment he appeared and Ellery’s crime buff nature had me relating to her instantly. These two POVs were never boring. Their searching for the truth of the past and present was easy to follow and I thought. There is romance in this but i actually thought it was super adorable. The romance didn’t detract from the overall novel and i found myself melting when they kept getting interrupted.
This was very fast-paced and a quick read.
The ending left me with more questions and that bothers me a little. Plus, the killer reveal was a tad underwhelming. That being said, i enjoyed the build up. I never really knew who to expect and did not once suspect the real killer.

Historia
Kacey is the new girl in Broken Falls. When she moved in with her father, she stepped into a brand-new life. A life with a stepbrother, a stepmother, and, strangest of all, an adoring younger half sister. Kacey's new life is eerily charming compared with the wild highs and lows of the old one she lived with her volatile mother. And everyone is so nice in Broken Falls - she's even been welcomed into a tight new circle of friends. Bailey and Jade invite her to do everything with them.

Thrilling Read
Revisado: 02-06-19
I absolutely adored this novel. It had me constantly guessing and delved deep into grey morality. We get to read the story from the perspective of Kacey before and after her her best friend Bailey goes missing. We then get chapters of Bailey’s diary entries from the year leading up to her disappearance.
Getting an insight into Bailey’s mind really solidified this novel. It added an extra note of intrigue and just “screwed-up nature”.
I did not see that plot twist coming and was shocked by the ultimate reveal of the killer. I knew from the start that i would enjoy this novel, as I have enjoyed Kara’s other novels. However, I found that “Little Monsters” has more of a thriller aspect to it.
You were constantly wondering just how much you could trust the narrator and if there was more she was not telling us. As each of the clues started getting pieced together, you realise how the disappearance is part of a larger conspiracy. This book did a phenomenal job at building up tension as the story went along and that made it a chilling read.
By the halfway mark i had made my decision on how the book was going to end and was a little disappointed... BUT MAN WAS I WRONG! I was so thrilled with the way this mystery wrapped up!
I took off a star because i found that there were times that i felt very disconnected from Kacey. While i understood her morals and the actions she took, there was a tad too much self-pity in her inner monologue and she constantly believed that she was “evil”.
I also had to speed this up to 1.75x as the narration felt a little slow. I thought that the voice actors did a phenomenal job and they kept me constantly engaged. Phoebe Strole is a FAVE of mine.
Overall, i would highly recommend this book and if it intrigues you in even the slightest ... pick it up!!

Life Changing
Revisado: 10-11-18
This was the first audiobook i have ever listened to and it blew me away. The full cast was amazing and the way the podcast within the story was recorded felt like i was actually listening to one.
I became so engrossed in the story and following Sadie’s story. The ending left me torn apart but it’s ok... I’m ok...
There was so much depth and you became connected with all of the characters - which the full cast helped immensely.
If you are contemplating listening to this... DO
