Jeremy Steele knows what it means to suck as a Christian—because he's an expert. How to Not Suck as a Christian takes an unflinching look at the ways Christians often miss the mark, from misusing scripture and manipulating others to failing at basic empathy.

A pleasant conversation
Revisado: 04-12-25
This was better than I expected. The entire book felt like I was having a real world casual conversation. There was never a point where I was listening and felt judged. I think this was a great change of pace for this type of book. And something I'll probably go back to again in the future.

Historia
Intelligence is usually seen as the ability to think and learn, but in a rapidly changing world, there's another set of cognitive skills that might matter more: the ability to rethink and unlearn. In our daily lives, too many of us favor the comfort of conviction over the discomfort of doubt. We listen to opinions that make us feel good, instead of ideas that make us think hard. We see disagreement as a threat to our egos, rather than an opportunity to learn.

Sense of calm and confidence
Revisado: 05-28-24
I loved that this book was but just motivational talk, but actual lessons. Actual suggestions on how to implement things. By the end of the book you're left with a great sense of calmness by understanding how to re-think. Highly recommend this book.
