Different, Heart Racing, Terrifying!
Revisado: 02-19-16
What did you love best about Interference?
The terror. It was unlike anything I've ever read. I happened upon this treasure, and did not regret one second. Within the first 10 minutes, I jumped up out of horror! I am a die hard Clive Barker fan and must admit, nothing he's written (but for Pig Blood Blues) has ever caused such a reaction. Relatable characters, adventurous, and unlike anything you will EVER read.
Who was your favorite character and why?
All of them have a persona in which you can find yourself looking back into and finding well, yourself.
Which scene was your favorite?
Radio station, production starting, Sh$t hits the fan. A town melee!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I managed it in 2 sittings! I savored the end.

Historia
When washed-up priest Angela Murs and skittish ghost hunter Tim Golding are summoned to a vast country manor to help a sick little boy, they have no idea what to expect. While it's clear that young Sammie is a very disturbed child, there's surely no way he could have been behind the recent spate of accidents or the death of his father. The child is dirty, malnourished, and perhaps the victim of a negligent mother, but as Angela and Tim's investigations take them deeper into the mystery, they realize there is much more going on than they ever could have imagined.

Narrator is so brilliant
Revisado: 05-04-15
For a short story I was amazed when a portion the narrator read had me laughing so hard. Rarely does a narrator break through on a character only minutes in the book and have such a detailed picture in my mind. Crazy cat lady from the Simpsons was my favorite!

Historia
Shane Dawson has always been an open book. From his first YouTube vlog back in 2008 to his feature film debut Not Cool to a cover story in Variety magazine, Shane has documented his life pre-tty thoroughly. We've seen awkward and adorable Q&As with his mom, weight-loss center drama, love life details, and the all-important haircut reveal. We've seen his hilarious spoofs of Miley Cyrus, Paris Hilton, and Sarah Palin. His music videos are awesome.

Historia
It’s a chilling reality that homicide investigators know all too well: The last face most murder victims see is not that of a stranger, but of someone familiar. Whether only an acquaintance or a trusted intimate, such killers share a common trait that triggers the downward spiral toward death for someone close to them: They are masters at hiding who they really are. Their clever masks let them appear safe, kind, and truthful. They are anything but - and almost no one can detect the murderous impulses buried deep in their psyches.

Narration was INCREDIBLE
Revisado: 06-23-14
Where does Fatal Friends, Deadly Neighbors: And Other True Cases rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is probably the 3rd of top 5 true crime books I've EVER read...this was my first Ann Rule.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Fatal Friends, Deadly Neighbors: And Other True Cases?
Laural Merlington does a job with the narration that I can just not put into words, except for saying (as shed change into different character voices-especially suspects) IT WAS DOWN RIGHT CHILLING!
Have you listened to any of Laural Merlington’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No I have not. I can only wonder how I've gone this many books (17) without her narration! The woman is amazing!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes!
Any additional comments?
Narrators ability to catch all tones of all personalities was just a wonder in and of itself! I would and am going back to more Ann Rule just to listen to Merlington play out the characters!!
