Historia
In this compelling book, listeners will explore our many kinds of "blind spots", from the physical to the interpersonal: how we get them, how to reveal them, and how to work with our newfound awareness. Drawing upon neuroscience, meditation research, true personal accounts, and more, The Blind Spot Effect invites us into this hidden world. What unfolds is both a learning journey and a practice guide to bring our own unseen dimensions to light, learn from them, and help others along the way.

Historia
Tiffany Aching has spent years studying with senior witches, and now she is on her own. As the witch of the Chalk, she performs the bits of witchcraft that aren't sparkly, aren't fun, don't involve any kind of wand, and that people seldom ever hear about: She does the unglamorous work of caring for the needy. But someone - or something - is igniting fear, inculcating dark thoughts and angry murmurs against witches.

Perfectly poignant conclusion to the Tiffany Aching series
Revisado: 04-04-24
I Shall Wear Midnight is a perfectly poignant conclusion to the Tiffany Aching series. It moves me even more now, 12 years later, than it did the first time I read it. It really feels like Terry Pratchett’s voice is alive and present in his timeless wit and wisdom.

Historia
Tiffany Aching, the boldest heroine ever to swing a frying pan against the forces of evil, is beginning her apprenticeship in magic. She expects to work hard, learn spells, and become a witch. She doesn't expect to find herself doing chores, caring for the careless, and trying to outthink an ill-tempered nanny goat. There must be more to witchcraft than this!

Historia
You may know him from his Netflix series Repertoire, his podcast Off Menu or James Acaster's Perfect Sounds, but before all of that James Acaster was one of the top researchers working in the UK today.... In these five shows, he probes deeply into a variety of subjects - and shares his eye-opening conclusions. Accompanied by agreeable assistant Nathaniel Metcalfe (Fresh from the Fringe) and Donna from the Complaints Department (Call the Midwife's Bryony Hannah) he tackles the big questions on the topics of bread, wood, fruit, wheels and paint.

Historia
Armed only with a frying pan and her common sense, Tiffany Aching, a young witch-to-be, is all that stands between the monsters of Fairyland and the warm, green Chalk country that is her home. Forced into Fairyland to seek her kidnapped brother, Tiffany allies herself with the Chalk's local Nac Mac Feegle, aka the Wee Free Men, a clan of sheep-stealing, sword-wielding, six-inch-high blue men who are as fierce as they are funny.

The great spectacle in which series turns
Revisado: 01-19-24
Jim Dale always delivers an excellent performance. The Goblet of Fire is the riveting and heartbreaking turning point in the Harry Potter series. A truly excellent book that is vastly superior to the film, which undoubtedly ranks as the lowest of the movies, although it has its merits.
