I was not expecting this book to hit me so hard. I loved everything about it, and that is not an exaggeration. The world building, the pacing, the character design, the SPICE 🥵 I was so sad when it ended, I just wanted to exist with these characters for a while longer.

Really loved this one!

I really enjoy Amanda Milo’s writing style. I can tell she doesn’t take her writing too seriously - and I mean that in the best way possible. She adds this goofy element to her stories that makes her books feel so realistic. I very, very much enjoyed this book in particular because it blended some well-loved romance tropes with a lot of interesting and unique story telling. I love how the aliens in her books actually seem SO alien. Not just dues with horns. She really gets into the nitty gritty of character and world building and I just eat that ish up!! There was one thing about this book that slightly annoyed me, and that was the narration - which was mostly good but you can tell if you’ve read the other books in the series that the narrators weren’t familiar with the source material. They pronounced Tevick wrong every single time and didn’t give Gracie the British accent I’m used to hearing from her! Having said that, everything else about this book was very enjoyable. It literally made me laugh and cry! I highly recommend this one ♥️

Loved it!

I was not expecting the plot to be so rich in this book. In fact, that’s why I waited so long to start this series. I was wrong to judge this book by its cover, because although the spice is absolutely delectable, the plot was what had me so hooked. I also enjoyed the narration in this one, the female lead seemed like an odd choice at first, but she really grew on me, as she added a lot of extra personality to the character. I had a grin from ear to ear throughout much of this story. Somehow it scratched my itch for a slow burn without actually being a slow burn. Very creative story telling with serval of the kink boxes checked. I’m excited to read the rest!

This book was excellent!

So when I read books in this genre, I look for 1. Plot 2. Romance and 3. Spice. I need all three categories to really get into a book, and Her Soul to Take did not disappoint!! The plot was awesome and well flushed out, the voice acting was on point and the spice was extra spicy! One of the other reviews suggested reading this in October, and I would have to agree that this book has big autumn vibes.

This story felt really flushed out, from beginning to end. I read this a sort of a Sci-fi homage to the movie French Kiss, and if that’s not literally what this book was supposed to be, I’d be surprised. Although it was definitely its own story, there were so many parallels! Honestly it made me very happy. Highly recommend this book!

The most wholesome alien erotica I’ve ever read

This was surprisingly wholesome and uplifting. I finished this book feeling all mushy and gushy inside. The talking dog was an unexpected and perfect addition to the story. Zylar was adorable. And I really liked Beryl!! I loved that the author didn’t focus as much on Beryl’s physical appearance as she did on her personality. Beryl was so full of spunk and just as adorable as Snaps and Zylar. This whole story is just absolutely 100% adorable, sexy, fluffy goodness. I find that a lot of Teratophilia based fiction can be sort of rough and scary, which has its place for sure, but this was way more sweet and at its core, about how love always prevails. I really enjoyed the trial and error aspect of alien/human erotica. The way it was written was so unique and felt realistic to what I imagine learning to have seggs with a real alien would be like. The narration was also VERY well done. I had so much fun with this one! 10/10 would read again. :)
