Riveting, well structured, and un-put-down-able!
Revisado: 01-18-25
I liked how it begins with seemingly inconsequential characters who somehow weave into the entirety of the story. There are no dangling pieces of the puzzle of this mystery. It all comes together so intimately and terrifyingly. I now rank Kevin O’Brien as one of my new favorite authors. My first book of his called “Terrified” is also wonderful.
I enjoyed the perfect narration of the interpreter of this masterpiece.
Thank you both author and narrator Daniel Thomas May for this delectable tale.
Highly recommended!

Excellent reminder of the horror of Covid
Revisado: 11-04-24
I hear people say are you better off today than 4 years ago. There is this collective amnesia of one of the most horrific events to hit the world, and the bumbling incompetence of some of our country’s leaders (in my case Trump) to handle this. Ohh I remember clearly the confusion of the populations, and the lack of leadership making Covid in the USA a disaster. So much to learn from to prepare and prevent the next chaotic possibility.
Thank you Audible and David Hare for this wonderfully illuminating work of art. 🖼️

One September morning, Doug accidentally runs right into another surfer on the beach. There are rules about these things. The other guy should call Doug a jerk, Doug should say, "my bad", and they should both paddle back out and move on. Problem is, the other surfer doesn't want to move on. He wants to fight. And for once in his life, Doug wants to fight back.

The inimitable Sam Capra lives on.
Revisado: 05-17-24
I love the Sam Capra series. When I first read Adrenaline, I thought it was such an original story and plot. I just didn’t know what was going to happen next. As with all great books, I must follow the plot into the next book. I’ve read them all enjoying each one. Delighted to find Jeff Abbott wrote The Traitor’s Dance, and I swear his writing is on a newer and deeper level with that same reliable suspense. That’s the beauty of following a favorite author. You see their work growing as they grow. Kevin T Collin’s is a wonderful narrator. His rhythm and pacing, character impersonations will have you rooted and being inside each person. Thank you both for this amazing performance. Highly recommended if you love a good and thrilling story.

Historia
Henry Wolf is a deliciously wicked, sinfully handsome man who has done a very bad thing. Potentially. Worse, he owns me now - every inch of my body and a sizeable chunk of my stupid, naïve heart. And he's made it clear that if I want to keep my job and stay in Alaska, I'm stuck catering to his every whim and wish - both in the hotel and in his bedroom - while I wait for the potential fiery media circus ring that will no doubt drag my reputation into the gutter along with his, should his past discretions surface. I will not surrender to his demands....

I just happened to have been in a bad mood this morning. I said to myself, “I really need to change my life”, while driving to work. Normally I skip the self help books but today, I said why not try Mel Robbins podcast while working my shift. I’m 58 and this book is simpatico with my milestone in life. I really enjoyed it. I got it!! I would recommend this book to every age reader. Mel Robbins is fun to listen to. Thank you 🙏 Mel.

Middle Falls series is my favorite
Revisado: 09-23-23
I love Shawn Inmon’s Middle Falls series. I’m glad he will continue to write them. This is such a great story, as is “The Anxious lives of Edwin Miller” which I also just completed. There is nothing quite like this time travel story except Stephen King’s 11/22/63 which I highly recommend. These emotionally rich stories are a delight and the characters from his other books makes me feel like old friends cameo visit for a spell; everything is connected. Thank you Shawn and Audible for sharing this wonderful experience. Well worth a read.
