Historia
Do you put other people’s needs ahead of your own? Do you wish you had the courage to do what you actually want and not just the thing you think you should do? If you’re not loving yourself in your choices, you are setting yourself up for depression, anxiety, food issues, addiction, health problems...There’s a sacred moment in each decision you make, in which you either turn toward yourself and your own inner truth, or you turn away from it. The direction you turn in that pivotal moment will lead to you feeling great and at peace or to being frustrated, scared, or ashamed.

Joyfully Wise yet Simple & Engaging
Revisado: 03-29-22
I simply LOVE this approach.
How often have I been told, "You're so hard on yourself" - and I've spent years as a health care professional helping people who are suffering, giving selflessly and generously to others and wondering why I burn out. I've read countless self-help books for 30 plus years...but this book has really opened my eyes and heart to a whole new, EASY, EXCITING way of being with ME, and the world at large! I've enjoyed listening to it, reading it and engaging in the process. This is no ordinary self-help book- but so much more...It gives access to engaging, FREE, online material, resources, videos etc www.ifilovedmyself.com which is amazing! I now can implement the difference between being self-less, selfish, self-care and self-love. And EVERY uncomfortable moment, in each day, is an opportunity to say, "YES" to me...and my patients, family and friends are all benefitting from this ripple effect. WOW - Powerful!

A masterpiece: rich characters, witty comedy
Revisado: 03-29-22
What a treat! The delightful characters, who in their 80 plus years, are every bit as naughty, witty, adventurous, and highly intelligent as they were in their interesting, professional careers of yesteryear...YET there is a wisdom and "laugh out loud" humour- sometimes several times in each line. I don't usually do murder; too heavy for me...but this was something else entirely. I loved the content and was free to escape and enjoy the moment, no matter who died! Odd really? Maybe, it was the brilliance of the narration, the varied voices, the pauses - a Lesley Manville marvel? Extraordinary twists in the tale keep one riveted right to the end. I can't wait to get my hand on the next book...and the NEXT...Please keep writing Richard Osman...masterpiece characters such as these.

Historia
Between the simple melody of running her violin shop and the full-blown orchestra of her romantic interludes in Paris with David, her devoted partner of eight years, Grace Atherton has always set her life to music. Her world revolves entirely around David, for Grace’s own secrets have kept everyone else at bay. Until, suddenly and shockingly, one act tips Grace’s life upside down, and the music seems to stop. It takes a vivacious old man and a straight-talking teenager to kickstart a new chapter for Grace.
