Terrible narrator completely ruins book!
Revisado: 01-20-18
If you could sum up Murder Most Witchy in three words, what would they be?
Need to go back to previous narrator! Hollis McCarthy is a terrible narrator better of reading books than having to listen to McCarthy.
What did you like best about this story?
The story itself.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Hollis McCarthy?
Anyone would be better even a third grader!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Did not matter one way or another.
Any additional comments?
PLEASE find another narrator!

Historia
The Lost begins as the story of a boy who grew up in a family haunted by the disappearance of six relatives during the Holocaust - an unmentionable subject that gripped his imagination from earliest childhood. Decades later, spurred by the discovery of a cache of desperate letters written to his grandfather in 1939 and tantalized by fragmentary tales of a terrible betrayal, Daniel Mendelsohn sets out to find the remaining eyewitnesses to his relatives' fates.

"AS LONG AS SOMEONE REMEMBERS YOUR NAME, YOU ARE NOT LOST"
Revisado: 08-14-16
This story is so true. As a history lover and the eldest who remembers my Grandparents born in the late 1800's, my father born in 1915, me born in 1951, my daughter born in 1980 and finally my grandson born in
2003 it is up to me to tell all their stories so they will remain and not part of the LOST ONES. Thank you for showing me those histories and lives can be made alive and worth remembering. This wonderful and sad book is in a way the story of not only one family but the story of all of us and how important it is to keep looking back one last time!

FUNNY, COMPLETELY ENJOYABLE, OFTEN ACCURATE
Revisado: 06-17-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This is a wonderful book written by the late ELLIOT ROOSEVELT. I started reading the hardback books just a few years before ELLIOT died and have loved everyone and wished there could have been many more. Once you fall in love with Eleanor, you want more and more about her interesting life.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
ELEANOR ROOSEVELT becomes a very smart lady that could very easily be your friend. Even though these books are fiction, you will be surprised to discover just how many plots contain true facts, such as the MOB'S help during WWII on the shipping docks and during the invasion of Sicily and of course the WINSTON HOURS.
What does Nelson Runger bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Another point of view and interpretation of the story.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I love the whole book.

Historia
When Barry Fairweather dies unexpectedly in his early 40s, the little town of Pagford is left in shock. Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty façade is a town at war. Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils.... Pagford is not what it at first seems. And the empty seat left by Barry on the town's council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen.

I DON'T CARE HOW MANY. DIRTY WORDS YOU KNOW!
Revisado: 08-17-13
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
A story worth listening to ,would be first and second loose the dirty words that are not needed but there only to show a reader that J.K.Rowlings knows a lot of dirty words. It is as if she is seeing who wins the dirty word game.
What could J. K. Rowling have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Write an actual story.
How could the performance have been better?
Had a plot and storyline to work with.
What character would you cut from The Casual Vacancy?
Every one of them.

Historia
When acclaimed Washington Post writer Wil Haygood had an early hunch that Obama would win the 2008 election, he thought he'd highlight the singular moment by exploring the life of someone who had come of age when segregation was so embedded in the culture as to make the very thought of a black president inconceivable. He struck gold when he tracked down Eugene Allen, a butler who had served eight presidents, from Harry Truman to Ronald Reagan. Forest Whitaker narrates the story of this remarkable man who, while serving tea and supervising buffets, was also a witness to history.

A complete waste of money
Revisado: 08-17-13
What disappointed you about The Butler?
The Butler is not a book!
It is nothing but a political ad and an attempt to make obama (I refuse to use any caps on that name) some kind of a god. There is nothing about--what it was like to serve hundreds of people during a state dinner, how many persons are needed to serve a state dinner, how people have changed over the years both guests and staff, what were his routine daily duties, did he have to polish silver, was he ever scared he might droop something, how often he had to be invisible during his job, were there any parts of his job he didn't like, what was the feeling inside the White House during holidays, funerals, first time visits of a new leader of a country, was there ever a time they were afraid something might happen to the White House as during the Cold War, what changed when the President was out of town-----NOTHING AT ALL!
A total waste of good money and time!
Would you ever listen to anything by Wil Haygood again?
NEVER
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of the narrators?
Anyone who didn't worship obama!
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disgust nothing but disgust.
Any additional comments?
Save your money, save all the time you will waste-reading or listening followed by expelling everything you have eaten in the past 48 hours in the bathroom. If this trash
Is what you want Al Sharpen, or any radical pro- racist will be a much better use of your time.
