Best Ending!!

This is my 2nd listen by this author and I really enjoyed it. Great story, lots of twists and turns. And the sweetest ending. Narration is really good. He does an amazing job with all the different characters and their individual personalities and emotions.

So Good!

Phenomenal story! Loved all the characters and the narrator is very good. My one issue with the narration is that I struggled to imagine them as young as they are in the story. Late 30’s and early 40’s. The narrator distinguished the males and females so well and they all had their own voices. He’s really talented but I couldn’t get the images of the characters being in their 60’s. 100% still worth the listen.

Very Unlikable Main Character

I found myself muttering out loud that the main character just needed to shut up. I’m unsure if the character herself is annoying or if the narrator made her that way. I feel like the narration was good and it was how the character was written that made me hate her. About 15 minutes in I looked at how long this story was and was grateful it was only a couple of hours.

While I say all that, I still listened! I was interested in the story but was highly irritated through the majority of it. So … I think I kind of recommend it?

Great Twist!

I loved this story and the narrator was phenomenal. Very creative and cool twist that I was not expecting! You should definitely take a listen.

Strength & Inspiring

I’m grateful that Kelly wrote this the book telling her story. I’m also proud that she narrated it herself. What an eye opening experience for me to learn about her life. Many times it was hard to hear about what she went through and it was a roller coaster of emotions. Ultimately I’m walking away from this book feeling in awe of what Kelly has done and continues to do. Such an amazing listen. Highly, highly recommend.

Truly Interesting Story

I really enjoyed this book. It was a recommended listen/read by Ash from the Morbid podcast. If it feels slow in the beginning, stick with it. I was very close to returning it but based on the other reviews and the summary, I just knew I’d enjoy it. I’m glad I kept going. Narration was phenomenal.

Loved Everything About It

Narration was phenomenal.

Story was also phenomenal. A little bit of Hunger Games, a little bit of Jeffrey Dahmer, etc. Definitely not duplicating any other story but just a really cool combination of characters and stories. It kept me interested the entire listen. Looking forward to the next one!!
