Historia
The galaxy is doomed. Monkeys may be clever and too stubborn to give up, but Skippy The Idiot Who Got Played knows the harsh truth: this is a fight he can’t win. The odds are not only stacked against him, he was designed not to win this fight. Maybe he can salvage some faint memory of the civilizations that inhabit the galaxy, but those beings are doomed. Doomed. Including the Merry Band of Pirates.

Back on Top
Revisado: 01-13-23
While I love this series, the last several installments have not met the exceptionally high standards of the serious. The previous 3-4 books were still very good, mind you.
This book reminds me of the start of the series with outstanding dialogue, as usual, and a significant problem for the characters to resolve. It answers lingering questions within the series as only Alanson can do.
If you have lost interest in this series, it is worth picking up…if for no other reason than to have the pleasure of listening to this book!

A good story with an adequate performance
Revisado: 10-26-22
The overall story is very good. It has enough twists and turns to keep you interested.
The narrator barely keeps you engaged, as there is not much inflection. That said, it speaks to the quality of the story, as the narration is barely adequate.
The story is told as a first person narrative as if being written to a loved one. It takes some getting used to, but is a unique way to tell the story.
Enjoy the mystery, and tolerate the narration!

Historia
More than two centuries after World War III poisoned the planet, the final bastion of humanity lives on massive airships circling the globe in search of a habitable area to call home. Aging and outdated, most of the ships plummeted back to Earth long ago. The only thing keeping the two surviving lifeboats in the sky are Hell Divers - men and women who risk their lives by skydiving to the surface to scavenge for parts the ships desperately need.

Don’t wait to pick this up!
Revisado: 01-06-18
So, I waited a while to purchase this book because it seemed like Waterworld in the clouds, and I wasn’t sure I would like this genre of post-apocalyptic fiction. I should have known that RC Bray would take this book to the next level. While the story is very good, Bray elevates it even higher.
It is worth the credit, and it is better than the aforementioned movie!

Historia
Our universe is ruled by physics, and faster-than-light travel is not possible - until the discovery of The Flow, an extradimensional field we can access at certain points in space-time that transports us to other worlds, around other stars. Humanity flows away from Earth, into space, and in time forgets our home world and creates a new empire, the Interdependency, whose ethos requires that no one human outpost can survive without the others. It's a hedge against interstellar war - and a system of control for the rulers of the empire.

Excellent performance for a good story
Revisado: 09-29-17
This was a better than average story about a confederation of star systems who depend on one another for survival. The story is predictable, but the performance more than makes up for it!
Worth the read if you can get it on sale.
Enjoy!

A Good Story that is tough for an Audiobook
Revisado: 05-29-17
The story is good, but it meanders throughout and jumps timelines (not a spoiler, don't worry). The performance is very good, and this saves the book. Stick with it and enjoy!

A different time travel story
Revisado: 04-22-16
For those who enjoy time travel and the possibilities/side-effects, this book gives a nice twist to that type of plot. The book starts off painfully slow and a little disjointed, but picks up. It has a very real and believable ending. The reader is great!
Enjoy!!

Good story that could use a little more inflection
Revisado: 01-23-16
The story is very good. It moves slowly at times and jumps around a lot. This would not be an issue if the narrator read with a bit more inflection. Overall, it is still an interesting plot, that sets up a pretty good sequel (I think).

Not the best in the series, but very good.
Revisado: 02-03-15
As is so often the case, the crew is split for much of it, but this is woven expertly by Tufo. Not too many distractions, and the plot moves nicely. Another good Talbot story.

Gripping and Meandering at Times
Revisado: 10-19-13
Would you listen to Final Theory again? Why?
Overall a good story that develops interesting characters. The premise is fun, and the ramifications of the Final Theory are really intriguing. Any story about some lost nugget of wisdom from Einstein has to be captivating. Add in government and private interests competing, and you have a story that will make you want to endure the few parts where the plot wanders. Give it a listen.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Honestly one of the anti-heroes-Gupta
What does Adam Grupper bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He reads the characters great!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No
