Omg! Loved every minute of it.
Revisado: 07-16-22
Not big on all the long drawn out battles but loved the suspense and constant twist and turns of the book. The writers technical genius is amazing. Fell in love with so many of the characters. The book seems heavy on testosterone but you start to read about some powerful women later in the story. Would love to see more diversity in the characters outside of the aliens but overall I loved the mega box set. The book is simply brilliant!!

Her unique character, along with her obsessive love of cleaning and proper etiquette, make her an ideal fit for the job.

Loved every suspenseful moment
Revisado: 12-09-18
This was my first Koontz novel and I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. I have to first admit that I am a dog lover to begin with and have always loved dog stories. That aside, I found myself revited, near tears or in heart pounding fear for the characters. Some will find it a little mushy and the characters one dimensional but despite that it makes for a slight terrorifying yet heart warming read. I actually loved all the characters including the lawyer and the detective because they remind me that at the end of the day everyone wants the good guy to win in away that will inspire traits that my seem to have gone dormant in the most unlikely people to shine through and surprise even themselves. Like I said it is a book that is hard not to love!

I thoroughly loved this book in the series as i did others. It was dramatic and heart-warming. Alex gets the surprise of a life time, something I always wanted for this character. Reading about Alex Cross is like hanging out with a good friend. This was a fun read and the dramatic moments so perfectly woven into the story line. Enjoy, I did.

I felt like I was inside the story!
Revisado: 09-07-17
What did you love best about Homegoing?
The book was dynamic and engaging. I could not put it down. The author wove the years through time seamlessly. Just when I got tied to one period of time we were in another. Mostly importantly, I love the way he told the story of Africans and African- American from the Continent of Africa to America. The narrators ability to go between dialects and accents make you want to believe that multiple people were narrating the story. The Book is a must read for all.
What other book might you compare Homegoing to and why?
I compare it to a book called the History of White People. Both books capture historical events and concept in a way we did not learn in school.
Which scene was your favorite?
I have many favorite scenes but if I had to pick one it would be when Majorie read the poem as her father peered into the auditorium at her school.
If you could rename Homegoing, what would you call it?
Why we are who we are; The story of us

Historia
Bryan Stevenson was a young lawyer when he founded the Equal Justice Initiative, a legal practice dedicated to defending those most desperate and in need: the poor, the wrongly condemned, and women and children trapped in the farthest reaches of our criminal justice system. One of his first cases was that of Walter McMillian, a young man who was sentenced to die for a notorious murder he insisted he didn’t commit. The case drew Bryan into a tangle of conspiracy, political machination, and legal brinksmanship—and transformed his understanding of mercy and justice forever.

Makes anyone who believes in capital punishment question their fundamental beliefs, even if you don't believe in capital punishment it reminds you of the connectedness we all share as human beings.
