Historia
Space and time form the very fabric of the cosmos. Yet they remain among the most mysterious of concepts. Is space an entity? Why does time have a direction? Could the universe exist without space and time? Can we travel to the past?

Its all in there! And Organized too!
Revisado: 04-23-09
After listening to "The Fabric of the Cosmos", I could not think of a question it did not answer. I can recall only a few instances where a 'relisten' was necessary to understand the concepts/principles presented by the author - considering the subject matter and my ignorance on the topics, this is amazing to me.
The book builds the readers understanding gradually, and presents this intricate material logically and in a gripping package.
Well done!

Historia
Sharing from his own life, as well as the stories of others, Chuck Colson exposes the counterfeits of the good life and leads listeners to the only true source of meaning and purpose: Jesus Christ. But he does this in an unusual way, allowing powerful stories to illustrate how people have lived out their beliefs in ways that either satisfy or leave them empty. Colson addresses seekers—people looking for the truth.

Important messages in strange packaging
Revisado: 04-22-09
The book presents some important messages, albeit in very odd packages. The overall message of the book is scantily veiled by a side-message - the author is a good guy. The more granular concepts are packed in semi-interesting real life stories, that are spun hard for effect.
Not a book I would recommend to those looking for an uplifting/inspiring 'good life' book.

Historia
In a series of illuminating, often surprising experiments, MIT behavioral economist Dan Ariely refutes the common assumption that we behave in fundamentally rational ways. Blending everyday experience with groundbreaking research, Ariely explains how expectations, emotions, social norms, and other invisible, seemingly illogical forces skew our reasoning abilities.

Sometimes clever, often predictable
Revisado: 11-05-08
While the author hits a few wonderous and clever chords, the book is unfortunately full of mostly obvious observations and often predictable conclusions. The countless experiments the author describes in detail are not impressive, nor are the details of there design at all interesting. I love science, and the study of human nature. If you do to, you might find this worth the time to listen.
