the topic is fascinating while I feel the book is like an endless list. The author also jumps between things at time where the connection is perhaps not the best one but more the over all theme. Narration for the audio is horrible every sentence in one breath timing strange and stressful.

Why would the author consider his experiences useful for others. They generated terror in him and caused him to focuses excessively on other things than his own normative life. Did not seem any benefits of imitation. Otherwise the book is very boring and endlessly speculative. The only use of the book may be in generating more sympathy for those struggling with strange and frightening experiences that are uncommon.

Brennan manages to complicate things ad nauseum. Perhaps it is as she aimed to connect scientific worlds with her imaginal realms. No doubt she had proficiencies and taught many. For more straight forward teachings look at: Anything can be healed by Martin Brofman. Healing the Sick by T.L. Osborn and Healing Hands by Lani Leary.

1. if you know and believe in distant or non-local healing (faith, prayer, coherence, connection etc) you do not need this book. This book complicates everything to the point of absolute obscurity.

2. If you are a scientist or scientifically minded it can be said that this book uses small parts of actual science to promote absolute fringe theories and psudoscience.

3. If you are an atheist, do not like psudoscience or fringe theories this book is absolutely senseless to you.

4. It is well possible that the author is a great healer through faith, placebo effects or other such factors. Then a good parapsychologist could possibly come up with much better explanations than the author.

5. Book recommends microbiotic diets that have beem dangerous for small children and others as verified by the works of Mutsuro Nakazono.

6. If you are not into using pendulums or dowsing do not buy this book.

7. Woow.

For some reason hard to pin point the book starts to sound as a prolonged infomercial. Perhaps 60 to 70 percent repetition of the author's book "Confessions of a..."

Sentimental. Something amiss.

Brings up interesting connections. Yet the narrative jumps back and forth in time and loses focus. The whole thing seems superficial - perhaps people lack information. There is no in-depth telling of art, food, shipbuilding. Little on women and childrearing , not much on animals or how for real travel was accomplished in difficult circumstance. Belittles the true and serious spiritual effects of Christianity and discusses it more as only a political instrument. Begins to sound very repetitive and amiss.
