I typically don't think many authors can pull off a series of thriller/mystery/suspense books while maintaining that WOAH factor but Blake Pierce proved me wrong, which was a nice surprise!!

What a wild ride...

Wow!!! This is one of those books that will stay with you for a long time!! The story is AMAZING. It's almost unexplainable. The imagination and the details... That hissing and some of those voices will be forever imbedded in my mind.
This is absolutely worth the credit and trust me you will not be sorry.
Hope this helps... CANNOT wait to hear more from this author!!!

I will admit the first chapter threw me off a bit and I was going to just keep it in my library and go back at a later date. I'm glad I didn't!!
My 15yr old daughter and I listened together. Not only was it a good book I felt like it was a well thought out and executed story.
My one and only complaint was that the chapters ended and started so abruptly but other than that it rocked!! Definitely worth the credit!!

I'm an avid mystery/thriller/suspense reader. I literally read/listen to at least 4 books a week. Every now and then I like to switch it up and I fell in love with Tijan's Falcon Crest series among her other books and have seen this series out there but didn't think anything could hold a candle to FC. I am pleased to say, I was Wrong. Broke Hill is in some ways very similar to FC but in other ways so much more.
As an adult I don't often enjoy romance novels bc it's all about sex all the time and would rather read a YA novel and remember my days in high school and college and go back in time (mentally) and try and place faces to names and relive those "Glory days"
25yrs later this was the one book that actually made me feel like it was an accurate portrayal of what high school was becoming and now is like for my daughter today.
Gonna start on #2 now- if it's anything like the first, I think I may have found my "break thru" go-to author.
Kudos! I can be an EXTREMELY tough critic.

I hardly ever write reviews, ESPECIALLY when I haven't even finished the book, but WOW WOW WOW!!! I'm a little over 1/2 way thru the book and it's so twisted and suspenseful. Psychosocial thriller is an understatement! This book is definitely worth the credit. Truth be told this is going to be that ONE book that moved to the top of my all time favorite books. I cannot express this enough- definitely give this book a read. I read/listen to roughly 25-30 books a month, I'm a disabled ex teacher with nothing but time, lol, and I always stick to the Mystery/Thriller genere. Typically psychological thrillers. This one has blown all the others I've read out of the water!!!
**I bought this book and was not influenced in any way to write this. I say this bc sometimes, more often than not, I see reviews that include that the writer of the review was given an advanced copy or gifted the book in exchange for a review**

I typically only ever read/listen to suspense and thrillers and decided to take a chance on this series. OMG aside from a lot of push and pull bull from Seth and an obscene amount of him saying "baby" this was actually a really good series. I'm on to book 3 now. Hopeful is just as good!!!
