Not Great
Revisado: 02-13-25
Too much gore. Not enough plot development. Story doesn't follow the change makers, In a story about potential planetary destruction, the individual doesn't matter, In life, everyone dies eventually, so it doesn't matter. The Author ruins the book in the intro.
in the first 30 min a Human/AI hybrid is created, but is never developed as a personality just a vague character that is way too obvious. I won't be continuing the series.

Revisado: 10-18-24
Narration is great as usual. This whole book is just a big transformation zone battle and then an explanation (no story) of what is going on around the cosmos. 😕 All in all, it was Very Disappointing 😞.

Great cosmic powers, ...well, not really. There's always a reason why he can't use the powers he seems to get. He seems so powerful and unique and kills legendary monsters, but isn't any better that most bronze. ....super inconsistent. (Highly Annoyed)

Physicians are educated and trained more extensively than any other healthcare professional. A misrepresentation of a practitioner’s level of licensing, i.e., using the clinical term “doctor” when there is no MD or DO behind the term, is not only misleading but can jeopardize patient safety, expectations and outcomes. Terry dives into this controversial topic, stating […] The post Are you blurring the lines on who’s a doctor or a nurse? appeared first on Terry Fletcher Consulting, Inc..

- Are you blurring the lines on who’s a doctor or a nurse?
False Information
Revisado: 09-28-23
Truth:
Mid-level providers DO NOT have worse outcomes.
You cannot accurately judge someone's competence based on thier degree. Perhaps you need to have experience treating patients and working with different providers to accurately judge competence.
Mid-level providers are credentialed just the same as doctors. NPDB makes it impossible for a provider to be licensed in another state after losing thier license. Saying that Mid-level providers are being hired just from a resume without credentials being verified is absolutely ridiculous.
Lastly, if you think a brand new MD just out of residency knows more than a Mid-level who has been working for 5 - 10 years, you have never seen the immense incompetence of inexperienced docs.
You need to do some research, go see an MD and a Mid-level, compare the actual differences, and then delete this false, misleading, and ill-informed rant.

Historia
A mammoth, flash frozen in solid ice 10,000 years ago is brought to the surface by a team of scientists. An act of sabotage frees the giant from its icy tomb and reveals the secret held inside: the body of an ancient woman, cloaked in furs, slides out of the mammoth's belly. But it is not the woman that holds the team's attention - it is the object she is clutching: a device created by an advanced civilization.

Huge Robinson Fan, but this sucked.
Revisado: 09-26-23
I honestly can't put my finger on it. The story just wasn't interesting despite having some really cool ideas. More like a poorly told horror story than a captivating novel. Character development just Blew Apart after things blew-up. No truly interesting or thought provoking material from the breakup of the expedition until the very very end. It might have been better if the orb stayed with them, rather than suddenly having a low battery after 9000 years. Then things could have been figured out slowly and naturally, rather then a "narrator," explaining the how and why of what the hell is going on, and what just happened, before the last page. (0 out of 10, don't recommend). ...and I won't be continuing with the series.
Sad, because the first book was Awesome.

At first, Logan Ramsay isn’t sure if anything’s different. He just feels a little . . . sharper. Better able to concentrate. Better at multitasking. Reading a bit faster, memorizing better, needing less sleep. But before long, he can’t deny it: Something’s happening to his brain. To his body. He’s starting to see the world, and those around him—even those he loves most—in whole new ways. The truth is, Logan’s genome has been hacked. And there’s a reason he’s been targeted for this upgrade.

Horrible Book, No conclusion.
Revisado: 04-09-23
It's fitting that most of the last two books took place in the land of the dead, because two books killed everything that made this series good.
Key characters were left behind in order to pick up and expounded supporting characters with the utter failure to finish the story of even a single person.
I could tell it was going nowhere good, and although it caused me a stomach ache to do it, I finished the series.
Even with the last chapter being some 50 years in the future it just presents a bunch more questions without completing character stories.

Minimal Story: TONS of politics
Revisado: 02-11-23
If you hate America, it's politics, it's religious underpinnings, and it's history and want to hear your ideas echoed back to you while you mentally recreate the world; ...then you'll love this book.
Point is: everything in today's modern day world is bad and everything that brought us to where we are was wrong.
Not much of a book. By FAR, the worst book by Dennis.
My Porter was amazing as always.

Not Good! Nothing Resolved!
Revisado: 07-22-22
Things you won't find in this book:
- The deep mystery at the center of the universe.
- The origin of the Descolata Virus.
- Anyone half as interesting as Ender, Bean, or Peter.
-What happened to StarWays Congress after the failed Piggy Xenocide.
-A good story, or even a half decent conclusion.
Ridiculous things you will find:
- Bean's ship was heading into Deep space with his kids. ....ummm, apparently they turned around and stopped for a while.
- Oh, that Formic colony ship that appeared to be built to cross between Galaxies? ...ummm, don't ask about that, it wasn't important anyway.
- The vast processing power Jane needed to go Outside of Existence and back In? ...ummm, apparently it takes zero processing power, it's just LOVE. LOL! Thanks Harry Potter.
- Ape Humans.
- Talking Birds.
- Severely incompetent Leguminoids.
- Vague handwaving resolution vs. problem solving.
