Deeply moving tribute to a beautiful soul

If the only information you've ever heard about the life and death of Lisa Marie Presley was from the tabloids, you owe it to yourself to read this book to fully understand the beautiful soul she was inside and out. I also read her mother's book for the same reason, to understand the unfiltered truth from the source, rather than from an outsider.

The common thread in both memoirs is that Elvis Presley was larger than life, deeply spiritual, and that he loved his daughter, Lisa Marie with all his heart, and that she loved him back as nobody else could, as her daddy. When he died, a part of her died with him and her memoir shows us just how deep that love was.

Lisa Marie started this memoir by recording a series of interviews and her daughter Riley Keough tied them together and added her own commentary to fill in the gaps. I love the fact that she narrates her own passages rather than Julia Roberts. It adds an essential layer of authenticity to the audiobook that would not be there if there was only one narrator. It also helps the listener know when it's her perspective, and not her mother's, so for that reason I'm glad she didn't narrate the whole book.

The audio quality is absolutely horrible to the point of distraction, but what really bothered me most was the complete lack of title and author names. They just chained everything together with one story ending and the other starting right after it as if it was just another chapter in the same book.

Some of the stories are really great, but I see no reason why they didn't take the time to mention the titles and authors by name, if nothing else, to give the listener a way to look up the authors they like and look for their other stories.

The only story I knew the name of was the Arthur C. Clarke's The Sentinel, because I've read it before and recognized it as the seed of the story that would eventually become his most famous works, the 2001 series.

Jeremy Robinson is one of my favorite authors, and I love this particular story, but I was left at the end with high hopes for the story to continue in another book, but was surprised to find out that it's not part of a series.

There are quite a few unanswered questions and you get the feeling at the end that the story has just begun. Meanwhile this was written in 2016. Please continue this story. :)

It's hard for me to understand why some people are posting comments about the audio quality. I love this book, and I especially LOVE the fact that we get to hear Carl Sagan and his wife Ann Druyan's actual voices doing the narration.

While it would be great if they were able to recover the entire original audio, I'm so grateful they not only recovered some of it, but chose to let Ann read the rest. There is no better substitute for Carl Sagan than Ann Druyan.

Accidentally Lynn... And loved it!

I love exploring new titles, especially from authors I recognize. So, when I saw this book from Lynn Painter, I accidentally confused the author with another author named Painter, and I'm so glad I did. It's a great story.

Romance novels like Accidentally Amy are like a bowl of ice cream in the middle of summer, or a cozy fire in the winter, an optimistic escape from the daily grind that lets you forget your troubles and see how two people fall in love and hope to live happily ever after.

I love the premise of the story and next time I read a Lynn Painter novel, it won't be an accident.

Lastly, yes, men love Romance Novels too. How else can we understand what women want?

The great thing about the books in the Infinite Timeline is that most of them are great self-contained stories that work without any knowledge of any of the other books, so you can listen to them in any order.

Some of the books are direct sequels where the sequence of those particular books does matter, so Robinson created a chart showing the books best heard in sequence.

The Others, Flux, and Exo Hunter come together in The ORDER
Infinite, Torment, and NPC connect to Infinite 2.
Tribe, The Dark, and Mind Bullet come together in KHAOS

Singularity ties all of the stories together so it's best that you save this one for last, but then again, some lunatics may like to start here and then fill in the gaps later. George Lucas started his 9 part saga at part 4, then did 1-3 before planning 7-9. Disney tossed his last 3 stories and trashed his vision but that's a tangent for another day. Speaking of tangents, I love the countless tangents in Jeremy Robinson's books. He's got a knack for releasing some of the tension in a scene with a well placed distraction, then diving back into the madness.

I've listened to the entire series and I must say it's fun to see all of the best characters come together in one story, like Marvel's Avengers or DC's Justice League.

Robinson says this is the last in the Infinite Timeline, but I hope we'll still hear some new stories featuring these characters. Something tells me characters like Miah and the gods and titans have more stories to tell.

The King according to his Queen... Priceless

Elvis Presley's story has been told countless times, but this one is special because it's from the perspective of the true love of his live, Priscilla, who kept a diary and quotes it from time to time in the book.

There's quite a few stories in this book that have never been told before, especially the details of their unusual courtship. When they met she was only 14, so it's easy for many people to misinterpret their relationship. Priscilla's account of that time gives the listener a great insight into Elvis's wholesome values.

I'm so glad that Priscilla narrates the book herself. Her warm and friendly voice brings the pages to life with real laughter and emotion that would otherwise be flattened out and removed if they used another narrator.

If you're a fan of Elvis Presley like me, or just curious about their lives together, you should listen to this book, even if you think you already know their story.

Does a great job of explaining Thanos's motives

I had low expectations for this, to say the least, but I was blown away with how well it was written and performed.

I've seen all the MCU movies, and in many of the older movies, Thanos was lurking in the background, even to the point of only appearing in post-credit scenes. Even when he was brought closer to the center of the plot, you never quite understood who he was and what the true motive was for collecting and using the Infinity Stones.

There are tons of Internet memes with the slogan "Thanos Did Nothing Wrong" floating around the Net. This book gives you so much background of his story that you truly see that he wasn't just some power hungry Titan obsessed with killing, and why he honestly believed he was saving the universe.

A great little story with potential for more

The premise of this story is simple, yet it opens the door for literally unlimited exploration in future stories, so I look forward to following the series to see where it leads.

One thing I can say is that I was confused at first with the pronouns used for one of the main characters who is always referred to as they and them. Having an LGBT family member made it somewhat easier to understand the concept, but when I first started the story I didn't realize which character(s) "They" referred to because the characters were too new to me to understand the context.

I'm sure there are readers unfamiliar with using pronouns like that who are potentially being exposed to them for the first time. That's a good thing. Well done.

Even though I never heard of Adam Wade before listening to this, I feel as though I've known him all my life because I can relate to so many of his stories.

I have about 800 titles in my Audible Library and I must say this is one of the best titles I've heard in years.

Adam's stories are heartfelt and his performance is genuine and emotional.
