Great New Concept

The concept and creativity of the Mana Beasts is new to me. Its awesome! The story kept me riveted all the way through. The Narrators voice at first slightly annoyed me, but his skill at different voices finally won me over and I stopped noticing whatever it was I found annoying.

Ok, the story was well written, context wise, good conversations. The narration was awesome, with female parts read by the female narrator even during chapters for the guys. However, I swear the book is more about the "bedroom play" than ANYTHING else!! I only have 4 hrs left and I swear, half of every chapter is Erotica. I got to the point of fast forwarding the scenes just to continue the base storyline.

Blinded by Laughter

OMG!! I was listening to this book while driving a tractor trailer 75mph at night and nearly went off the road I was laughing so hard!!! I couldn't see for the laughter tears! This book made me laugh and cry so hard! The narrators were AMAZING. The absolute emotion in their reading, the laughter and expressions of the characters top notch!!

Bit too Much and Not Enough

Bit WAY too much/many sex scenes. Seriously cut into the storyline. The narrators were pretty good though.

Irish William Shatner!

I couldn't even get through the first chapter! The Narrator made EVERYTHING a question? Every comma was a question mark? Every period was a question mark? I swore I was listening to William Shatner? with an Irish/Scottish brogue? Who failed? The Narrator? or the director? Even describing the dance? was a question? Emily blushed becomingly? (I dunno! You're the Narrator! You tell me!) Vange made witty comments? (If...you say so. Don't ask me!)

I love a good Scottish brogue! But no one talks like that. Except Shatner.... so why would someone READ like that??

Cant get past Narrator

I tried. The story seems really cool, from the excerpt. But the Narrator! She...is...so...slow!! I couldn't get past the first PAGE. After the way she read the piracy rules, which was boring anyway, I hoped her pace would pick up in the story. It didn't. I couldn't put up with it.

Love the Narrator!!! She makes a great book come alive!! I've really enjoyed the whole series. The quality of the narrator though can make or break a book on Audible.

CLIFFHANGER!

The story was good! But it ENDED... with waaaaay too much unresolved! who is Crystal?? his betrothed?? It could have been a lot better with a different narrator.

All drama was lost with the seemingly monotone narrator. The different voices were good, but every sentence ended on the same downturn of tone! She needs to take some lessons on reading dramatically versus just reading aloud.

LOVING this book. Especially the Narrator! He is AMAZING. His voices for different characters are so varied and in depth! The way he reads totally draws me into the book and makes it hard to push pause when I'm done driving.
