Wow. Overall, pretty happy with it. Highly recommend Audible/voice version, unless you go with pen and notebook in hand and are prepared to study hard, making reference notes, like for a term exam/paper. HUGE amount of references, lists, and dates. hard to read, but great for looking up more info. Don't get lost in the beginning chapters. Mush through it and it gets more organized and better (or, I just got used to the author's style... either way, it worked). I went into this with BOTA, Qabalah, Monroe Institute, a lot of international travel and experience, a number of higher professional degrees, MBA, masters in history/geopolitics, (and, working on dissertations for a dual PhD and Doctorate in Divinity/ Spirituality and Paranormal studies)... and his work just left me in the dust, numerous times. I listen on faster speeds and got familiar with the '30 second' rewind function... In many ways, it reminded me a bit of Jared Diamond's lesser known books (absolutely loved 'Guns, Germs, and Steel), just with a different approach and subjects. In the end, I might not know all the things the author said, I might not even agree with what the author said, but I sure enjoyed most of the perspectives and loved the references to look up his support/learn more my own. ;) Enjoy responsibly and thanks for reading.

There us some pretty good science in this book, starting around/in Chapter 6/7. His summaries in the beginning chapters get better and better and are enabling me to remember and understand things more. The ending, referencing the god, Sin, is fascinating. This series us just incredible... and he cross references the bible with ancient tablets and other records throughout the entire book.

I think this book was the best in the series so far. I never seriously, academically, or even purposefully thought about why different peoples of the world use different calendars... I just thought it was simply tracking the moon and/or the sun. This book details the thoughts, the wars, and the politics that different peoples and civilizations had in order to track the passage of time--and by default--who rightfully ruled humankind at different time periods. Great read (well, great listen on Audible)!

Relates the Americas to 'Biblical' and Middle East

Relates the Americas to 'Biblical' and Middle East history. I feel he did a good job relating them together in a fairly academic presentation. He often gives his research (and those who agree or parallel his research) then gives opposing views (often along with the oppositions source or research) and ends with his opinion. Of particular interest to me was the 'day without Sun' as recorded in the Americas corresponding to the 'biblical day with only Sun' (no night) in the Middle East. Also, fascinating opinions and research on the Olmecs with their 'white, bearded allies' (where they came from, what they were doing, and what happened to them. A decent read... but awesome at 2xSpeed while listening on Audible!

Almost comes to 'modern age' ... what we call 'ancient egypt'. If you are truly a(n) historian or biblical scholar, you must read the Books of Enki followed by #1 and #3 in the series. Book #2 is just about the quests for 'eternal' youth. Not only is it boring, but it distracts from the narrative. Good luck!

Uses religion to mess up a great message.

I read it because a distant cousin said it was amazing and changed her life. I hope it can do the same for you. For me, the awesome message within (primarily empowerment, uniqueness, and overcoming family drama) is often lost in the religious rubbish that this writer spews. I have studied religion(s) for 34 years. I have even been an acting all-faiths Chaplain for the military and I even completed seminary school. I was even raised a 'Western' Methodist with Catholic Grandparents. I recommend most people to read 'The Celestine Prophecy' by James Redfield. Keep God and spiritualism, keep the good message(s), but get rid of the religious doctrine that is meant to mislead you. Good Luck and I hope you enjoy finding your own answers/truth.
