Boring, little new info, statist agenda

The first half of this long book covered economic history. Events like the industrial revolution, world wars, and depressions. The author just goes over history anymore who would buy the book already knows. In his view Keynes is a prophet while Hayek and Friedman are either greedy or misenformed. After WWII the mistakes of LBJs guns and butter policy are ignored. Anyone favoring a market based approach are greedy “neoliberals”.

I wanted 14 hours of my life on this book. Did I learn anything? Maybe alternative minor causes of the Great Recession exist. But he totally neglected the role of credit rating agencies and loan brokers.

Liar, liar. No way it's 10 minutes a day!

The title states you can clean, organize and keep your home beautiful in 10 minutes a day. I think the author must be in a time warp. Her program has daily tasks, weekly tasks, monthly tasks and occasional tasks. She just keeps piling on more. I would assume that if one followed her program to the tee, they would need to spend at least 10 hours a week to keep up. If anyone has that much time to work on it, they would probably get a nice clean home. She does provide several checklists in an attached pdf file to download. There are 24 pages of checklists. Best of luck!

Got better as book progressed

While Wil Wheaton is a great reader the story was hard to follow. Once one knows the history of the great plague and Hayden’s Syndrome it all falls in place. Author does a good job explaining the history of the disease in the last part of book. The scary part is the similarities between Hayden’s and COVID. Scientists fail with both. At least they don’t pretend to know with Hayden’s.

Thorough but a little dry

Lots of information on how the Civil War happened. Well researched. Author looks at the 1850s from both the north and the south point of view. I really appreciate Stephen a Douglas more now. Too bad the Reader is monotone. Even hard-core Civil War buffs will learn a lot.

Well researched story of a truly great man. Rarely has an individual impacted so many people. He always chose principle over power. And. Duncan always left you wanting more.

Fast paced. But what happens next? Did the cure work more than once? Another book needed. but series is over. Only complaints are book is a liitle short and characters a bit one dimensional.

Interesting romance adventure

Easy to listen to but maybe a little unbelievable. The federal government wouldn't ignore the bill of rights because a corporation wanted it. The graphic sexual dreams and actions didn't add anything to rhe story.

Good explanation of USA's divisions. But stats and tables don't work with Audible. Constantly reference to appendix you can't access. The numbers just blur and run together
If you.re a policy maker the BOOK is a must READ. But you just can't listen. Also, while I suspect the trends are continuing, year 2000 census figures are getting stale.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Don't waste your time. Cleaning tips "revealed" are just common sense things everyone already is doing. Nothing new or inventive.
