Exceptional

Bill has done the exceptional job at telling this story. He has shed light on the
underground life of being in professional sports, it's players and coaches.
He reads with such enthusiasm that keeps you interested from page to page
as we feel his pain and together pull for his recovery time and time again.
very good!

I knew about Bill Russell and saw him play in hi later years.
Because of Wilt Chamberlain, my favorite big man before Lou Alcinder,
I didn't really focus on Russell.
This book is fabulous. I now know how valuable he was coming into the league. I now know how valuable he was/is to civil rights and the uplifting of black people in America. He is A Man!

I like the authors assessment of Rachel because although I've listened to her
tv show, I was not aware of her story, and didn't even know she grew up in Castro Valley,
went to Stanford, or that she was even from California.
Mostly that she was such a confident, stubborn, go getter in her younger life.

Senator Amy covers this subject beautifully and honestly presents the crucial essence of monopoly powers and our government
lack of control over "Big Business" . I feel we are too late in stopping these anticompetitive policies though.
we are doomed to suffer high prices for services as the so-called middle class fades into poverty and monopolist count their
money In the dungeons of Washington DC.

This book has given me a bit more faith in the possibility that America is saveable.
Mary Trump has combined the works of so many other writers on the subject of "white supremacy",
" race" religion, Justice, mental health, and true freedom & democracy.
I've just finished the Audible version and now will order the physical book to re-read and
put on my shelf for future reference.
Well done Mary Trump, I now understand your Uncle's behavior better and his followers, however,
I still won't trust them moving forward in my own life seeking justice & repairing of the
beautiful African people of diaspora.

so this books information is very good and informative. I didn't really care for the readers speaking style of delivery of the stories because he sounds mechanical and motionless. I couldn't feel the connection between the storyteller and the stories.

I learned a lot Al Franken's political ambition and how it all started. He writes with humor and a nice blend of seriousness that come across genuinely. I like the book very much but my only criticism is that his voice kinda bother me at times. I think it would have been a 5 star rating if done by someone with a better voice. But, well wrote an interesting life, so far.
