Inspiring
Revisado: 12-30-23
We started the Montessori approach from birth. My daughter is 3 y.o. and her teacher recommended this book. I learned some very useful advice and am inspired to change some of my old school habits with raising my daughter. I find it interesting that with this way of learning how we still have these standard and forceful educational environments. I disliked school my entire life. Learning was a hassle. I am determined not to have my daughter experience what I did. This book was very resourceful in the start of that.

Keeping the trademark month-by-month format that allows parents to take the potentially overwhelming first year one step at a time, First Year is easier to listen to and new-family friendlier than ever - packed with even more practical tips, realistic advice, and relatable, accessible information than before. Illustrations are new, too.

NOT AT ALL WORTH THE MONEY AND TIME

A Good Intro but..
Revisado: 09-20-21
There was some substantial information, especially as a first time mom. But I feel like there were certain aspects in here that were more old school and not up to date. For example, sections of the eating. Of course, everyone has their own way of upbringing and you need to read and learn many methods before you settle on your "right" way so this provides a nice foundation, I will admit. However, I wouldn't call this the say all end all.

Historia
When Edward Cullen and Bella Swan met in Twilight, an iconic love story was born. But until now, fans have heard only Bella's side of the story. At last, listeners can experience Edward's version in the long-awaited companion novel, Midnight Sun. This unforgettable tale as told through Edward's eyes takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. Meeting Bella is both the most unnerving and intriguing event he has experienced in all his years as a vampire.

Love it!
Revisado: 09-02-20
I am a huge Twilight fan and have been looking forward to this book for years. It did not fall short of my expectations, simply amazing. Stephanie Meyer has a style of writing that allows you to dive into the world and be a part of the story. Definitely a page turner.

Being small is the worst! No one ever picks me for their sports team and my feet hurt from standing on my tiptoes all the time. There can't be anything good about being small...right? Being Small is a book about a little girl who is scared to go to school because she's the shortest kid in the class. She talks about all of the reasons that being short is a challenge, but her mother presents to her funny and unique advantages that only she has because of her height, instilling self-confidence in her.

I love this book and wanted to experience the audio version. It was great, very easy to listen to and understand. The narrator spoke clearly and not too fast, so all ages and abilities will be able to follow along. I also like how the narrator did a great job performing both the child and mom voice in a believable way! Highly recommended both in paperback and audio. Would be a nice combo!
