Why a British narrator?

I think I would have enjoyed the story more if the narrator were American! Her mispronouncing of several things and places took away from the story and made it a bit tedious.

Not really
How could the performance have been better?
A more experienced narrator, this one's voice was whiny and her male voices did not work
Any additional comments?
I like this type of story when I'm running around doing errands. The story itself was okay but I won't get part 2 from Audible because of the narrator.
