Real world, very effective diet
Revisado: 08-06-13
Would you listen to The FastDiet again? Why?
Every year I have to lose about 15 pounds to make weight for a couple of athletic events. This year I tried FastDiet, and did the job in half the time. The fact that you can have 500-600 calories during the fast days takes the edge off. Found that I had less appetite on the regular days. This diet, combined with the right foods, can really shed pounds while not making you suffer through your normal work day.
What about Michael Mosley and Mimi Spencer ’s performance did you like?
Got the point across. Not pros but nothing unpleasant.

Loose Ends
Revisado: 07-19-13
What made the experience of listening to Cinder the most enjoyable?
The "tech" - gadgets, etc., where fun. The character development was good.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Here was the problem. The story had great momentum on it's Cinderella theme until the closing scenes. Then it bogged down, and was left with no ending. Like the author was trying to force a sequel. A couple of more chapters, and a logical conclusion would have tied up the loose ends.
Which scene was your favorite?
The lab.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The quarantine.

Historia
NYPD detective Paul Donner and his wife Elise were killed in a hold-up gone wrong. Fifty years later, Donner is back: revived courtesy of the Shift. Supposedly the unintended side-effect of a botched biological terrorist attack and carried by a ubiquitous retrovirus, the Shift jump-starts dead DNA and throws the life cycle into reverse, so reborns like Donner must cope with the fact that they are not only slowly youthing toward a new childhood, but have become New York's most hated minority.

Not a zombie story
Revisado: 09-24-12
Would you listen to Necropolis again? Why?
I'll take the question to be "would you listen to the story knowing what you do now?". Probably. Although the main theme was pretty interesting, the story took a few turns that were so far-fetched that they derailed the momentum. Wish I could give examples without killing the suspense.
Would you be willing to try another book from Michael Dempsey? Why or why not?
Yes, but I would look more closely at the story before purchasing.
Which character – as performed by Kevin T. Collins – was your favorite?
Donner. Who else comes close?
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No

A fun book with a great narration
Revisado: 05-14-12
What did you love best about The Minotaur Takes a Cigarette Break: A Novel?
The setting of the book was implausible, with a horned minotaur fitting right into the country scene. Couldn't stop laughing as he stumbled his way through many situations
What does Holter Graham bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Fantastic narration makes the audio stand apart
