After some research, my heart was set on becoming a substitute teacher. That was nine long years ago. Looking back now I think that was one of the best decisions I have ever made. the last three years, I came across many people, most of whom always asked the same question. Every one of them wanted to know how to be a teacher like me. Through our local church, I started to hold a few seminars teaching people all about substitute teaching jobs.

This book has excellent content, but it bounces between advice that is more applicable for full time teachers and general teacher job hunting advice. I rarely found information that I knew I could apply as a sub.

Not just for fans of the movies.

This book inspired one of the best movie trilogies of all time. The story is action packed, sexy, grimy, and yet subtly relatable. The performance is also excellent with the different voices done by the narrator giving life to the characters. If that weren't good enough, one of the actors from the movies is the narrator. There is something for everyone to get out of this book, whether the are a fan of the movie or not.

Dense but fascinating

This work is absolutely fascinating, and it's status as a classic is well earned. Eduardo Ballerini does a fantastic job narrating it. The world is well described and the meter is infectious. However, it is not something that can be listened to while doing anything else. This work is dense and not devoting every iota of attention to it while listening will mean that somethings will be missed. Also, a reader/listener who is not familiar with Italian Renaissance History maybe confused in some areas.
