Historia
Is there a science to love? In this groundbreaking audiobook, psychiatrist and neuroscientist Amir Levine and psychologist Rachel S. F. Heller reveal how an understanding of attachment theory - the most advanced relationship science in existence today - can help us find and sustain love. Attachment theory forms the basis for many best-selling books on the parent/child relationship, but there has yet to be an accessible guide to what this fascinating science has to tell us about adult romantic relationships - until now.

Historia
Concerned that technology is about to chase mythological creatures out into the open (how long can Sasquatch stay hidden from Google maps?), the League for Interspecies Cooperation is sending Jillian to Louisiana on a fact-finding mission. While the League hopes to hold on to secrecy for a little bit longer, they're preparing for the worst in terms of human reactions. They need a plan, so they look to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where humans and supernatural residents have been living in harmony for generations.

Historia
Artist Isabelle West has good reasons for preferring a solitary life. Tucked away in a cabin in the woods, she has everything she needs...except a red-hot love life. That is until a hard-bodied US marshal threatens to unearth secrets she's spent years protecting. But giving in to the sparks flying between them can only lead to one thing: disaster.

I HATE the voice of the Main Character
Revisado: 05-20-15
Would you be willing to try another one of Celeste Ciulla’s performances?
What were you thinking? The voice of the Main Character is nasally & whinny. I am just into the first few chapters, and I cringe everything the main character starts to talk. I like her inner voice. I don't know if I'll be able to finish this book. YUCK!

Historia
From Charlaine Harris, the best-selling author who created Sookie Stackhouse and her world of Bon Temps, Louisiana, comes a darker locale - populated by more strangers than friends. But then, that's how the locals prefer it. Welcome to Midnight, Texas, a town with many boarded-up windows and few full-time inhabitants, located at the crossing of Witch Light Road and Davy Road. It' s a pretty standard dried-up western town.

narrator was so-so
Revisado: 05-09-14
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
This was a good time filler. It wasn't as good as Charlaine Harris' other books.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
If she had focused on Manford more.I wasn't crazy about the character names either.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Susan Bennett?
Katherine Kellgren or Johanna Parker!!!
Was Midnight Crossroad worth the listening time?
I guess so. But it is at the bottom of my re-listen list.

Weak & Silly Heroine & Horrible Narrator
Revisado: 06-17-12
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
If the heroine hadn't been so weak & silly, and the hero hadn't been so bossy. I may have enjoyed the book better if the narrator hadn't been so bubbly.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Deadlocked - A Sookie Stackhouse Novel
What didn’t you like about Becca Battoe’s performance?
I hated it! She was too bubbly. She made the heroine sound silly & juvenile.
