So very rarely, does one read a book that entertains as much as it informs and NEVER would I have dreamt that a book on right wing politics could deliver this kind of wild ride.

Michael Malice is sharp witted and obviously highly intelligent but writes in a manner so accessible you almost forget, until of course Malice's immutable, snarky cleverness inevitably snaps you out of it and you realize the true depth of the author's thought.

This book never forgets that the best way to impart wisdom is with an entertaining show.

If you are new to the figures and ideas discussed in the book or if you are already deeply immersed in the "new right" Malice puts their world into a new context and examines how the rise new right and what it's implications may be.

I listened to this for a historical account of Nanking but instead found an author who inserted his own opinion on various topics and acted as if they were fact with no further explanation.

For one example economists today dispute the causes of the great depression the author claims as a point of fact with no further discussion that it was caused by an "antiquated gold standard"

Another point if contention, (there are still more) blames this massacre on bushido and even goes as far to explain western civility on chivalric code. This shows not only a deep misunderstanding of bushido but also a complete disregard for the myriad of western atrocities.

After seeing this book was recorded as a part of an educational series I was disgusted. Next time how about a little more historical fact and a little less blatant opinion mixed with cheap sensationalism?

Excellent, at times it is witty and amusing but brought back to earth with an immensely powerful ending!

Can't wait for the next title from Malice.

A must read for those in school, those with children in school and those one day considering putting their child in school.

Go in with an open mind, and think about your own experience.

There is a certain kind of extreme beauty one finds only within harsh and brutal suffering.

That being the case this is the most beautiful book I have ever read.

A staggeringly brilliant book from the pen of, in my opinion, one of history's greatest authors. was only enhanced by an amazing narration... in essence perfect.
