Historia
"The Wife" once exchanged love letters with her husband, coyly postmarked the Dept. of Speculation, their code name for all the uncertainty that inheres in life and in the strangely fluid confines of a long relationship. As they confront an array of common catastrophes - the arrival of a child and, later, a lover - the Wife puzzles over the mysteries of intimacy, trust, faith, knowledge, and romantic love.

A rambling rom montage of depression. Thank God I didn’t pay for this book. Strike this author from any “to read” list.

Dalinar Kholin's Alethi armies won a fleeting victory at a terrible cost. While on a desperate flight to warn his family of the threat, Kaladin Stormblessed must come to grips with the fact that the newly kindled anger of the parshmen may be wholly justified.

Another great book by Sanderson
Revisado: 02-02-18
I just love the story and character complexity. The people seem to have real personalities and flaws like we do. Of course we don’t stab people in the eye, even though we might wish we could. Is it too early to ask for the completion of the next book?

Great series. I wish there was more!
Revisado: 10-30-17
A well written series with great character development. The storyline is not predictable and captivating and character interaction is believable. I wish there were more books in this series. They need to make it to Mars at least.

Revisado: 03-22-17
Once again Sanderson writes a fantastic book. Love the character development and storyline. It's not your typical fantasy and definitely not formulaic. Every book he's written has been awesome and I can't wait for the next one regardless of the series

Historia
Tom Dreyfus is a Prefect, a law enforcement officer with the Panoply. His beat is the multifaceted utopian society of the Glitter Band, that vast swirl of space habitats orbiting the planet Yellowstone, the teeming hub of a human interstellar empire spanning many worlds. His current case: investigating a murderous attack against one of the habitats that left 900 people dead, a crime that appalls even a hardened cop like Dreyfus.

It was a little confusing as the events in this book obviously take place prior to the Yellowstone plague. It fits in the same universe but should come before Chasm City

Historia
It’s 2026, and catastrophe has struck from an unexpected source. The Alpha Centauri supernova has risen like a second sun, rushing Earth toward its last summer. Floods, fires, starvation, and disease paralyze the planet. In a blue aurora flash of gamma rays, all microchips worldwide are destroyed, leaving an already devastated Earth without communications, transportation, weaponry, or medicine. The disaster sets three groups of survivors on separate quests. A militant cult seizes the opportunity to free their leader, known as the Eye of God, from the long-term coma to which a court sentenced her.

Annoying reader
Revisado: 12-15-15
Would you try another book from Charles Sheffield and/or Gary Dikeos?
No
Who was your favorite character and why?
None
How could the performance have been better?
Get another reader. By and far the worst reader I've ever heard
Could you see Aftermath being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
No
Any additional comments?
Clearly the reader buys into racist stereotypes. The Jewish president had a nasal whining voice.

Historia
All Airel ever wanted was to be normal, to disappear into the crowd. But bloodlines can produce surprises, like an incredible ability to heal. Then there's Michael Alexander, the new guy in school, who is impossibly gorgeous... and captivated by her. Somewhere in the back of her mind, she can hear the sound of pages turning, and another, older story being written. It is the story of an ancient family, of great warriors, of the Sword of Light, and the struggle against an evil so terrible, so far-reaching, that it threatens everything. Airel knew change would be an inevitable part of life.

Revisado: 07-17-15
Would you listen to Airel again? Why?
Probably not, but I have so many books I haven't listened to yet it's vary unlikely I'd listen to vary many of my books more than once.
What other book might you compare Airel to and why?
Twilight
Which scene was your favorite?
Sorry no spoilers here
Any additional comments?
At first the book comes across as another teen girl angst book. I.E. Twilight. But it gets away from that to some degree and has some unique scenes. I was surprised that even though the book inched an excerpt from the next book it is the only one of the series on audible. Seeing as the book was released in 2012 I find it surprising the second book didn't get written or released if it was.
