Very enjoyable performance

This is the second book in a trilogy and the first I listened to. It made me want to hear the first. Jenny Myers gives an excellent performance. She is amazing the way she can make characters come to life with their varied accents. From Texas to Scotland there is nothing she can’t tackle!

By far my favourite of Maria Frankland’s stories. And Jenny Myers’ portrayal of the characters with their different accents was great! She really makes the characters come alive. I always look forward to listening to any book she narrates.

Sexy, young and exciting, he’s the person who’s going to set me free from my middle-aged monotony. I’m dreading turning fifty more than I’ve dreaded any other birthday in my life. Now that my kids are at university, the prospect of spending the rest of my life with my bullying, balding and boring husband is a miserable one.

Fantasy is not a genre I usually read, but Jenny Myers’ performance of this book drew me right in. With her superb reading, the characters became alive and I enjoyed following Ethan’s adventures and struggles in two worlds as he grew into The Guardian of the Greyworld.
