Historia
Imagine how different your life would be if you could tell whether someone was lying or telling you the truth. Be it hiring a new employee, investing in a financial interest, speaking with your child about drugs, confronting your significant other about suspected infidelity, or even dating someone new, having the ability to unmask a lie can have far-reaching and even life-altering consequences. As former CIA officers, Philip Houston, Michael Floyd, and Susan Carnicero are among the world’s best at recognizing deceptive behavior.

Dehumanizing
Revisado: 04-10-24
Ofcourse you’d need a specific race to use as a scapegoat. Quite disappointing from the start.

Historia
More than eight centuries after his death, Saladin's life and reign represent the pinnacle of the Arab world's glory. Saladin is widely considered one of the greatest generals in history and one of the most famous leaders of the Middle Ages, but he remains a paradox, both in personal and in historical terms. A military genius, he first served other generals and was overshadowed later in life by his greatest rival, Richard I of England. He was far more admired by his Christian enemies, who extolled his chivalry, than some of his Muslim rivals.

The narrator needs to go back to school

Felt robotic and biased
Revisado: 11-26-23
A few things stand out
- The narrator starts by stating that an Arabic Egyptian president (who is closer geographically and historically to where the story originates from) had falsely supported a mythical pan Arab ideology endorsed by Salah Al Din.
- The story doesn’t have a proper flow, perhaps it’s the Texan / Southern accent that made it difficult to follow.

Historia
Start-Up Nation addresses the trillion dollar question: How is it that Israel - a country of 7.1 million, only 60 years old, surrounded by enemies, in a constant state of war since its founding, with no natural resources - produces more start-up companies than large, peaceful, and stable nations like Japan, China, India, Korea, Canada, and the UK?

Militaristic Apartheid Propaganda
Revisado: 11-11-23
I was thoroughly displeased while listening to this military propaganda under the disguise of technological innovation.

Historia
The study of Western Civilization traditionally follows a well-known but incomplete arc: the grand achievements of Greece and Rome, several hundred years of the Dark Ages, and then the bright emergence of the European Renaissance. But amid the "dark" Middle Ages, the Abbasid Empire, which ruled the Middle East as well as much of Northern Africa and Central Asia from 750 to 1258, serves as a vitally important but often overlooked bridge between the ancient and modern worlds.

Beautiful listen
Revisado: 11-11-23
Loved it, mesmerizing as the sands of time swayed, and the light dictated by Ibn al Haytham dictated that in fact, light does not come from our eyes as previously thought by the Greeks. A beautiful reference as how to Arabic culture integrated learning of Greek, Egyptian, Persian, and Indian cultures and sciences.
