Storyline has the expected Baldacci level of complexity we know and love. Had to giggle when Agent Divine took out a bad guy by "driving the cartilage of the nose" into the guys brain, 2025 and action writers don't know this can't be done?

Interesting premise/ Ever so woke!

The performance & storyline are very good. They are foreshadowed by virtually every ultrawoke trope of modern teen and pre-teen society. If you had a sheet of college ruled paper and listed every wokism, you likely would fill it front and back in the first 3 chapters. I'm in doubt about whether I'll finish listening but will give it a chance to see whether the story will continue to bang the same drum..... endlessly.

Kim’s first Hollows books are pure magic!

I read the series when it first came out and am also enjoying going back through select stories on Audible! Originally hoodwinked into reading this by a GF who replaced all bathroom reading material with KH books.

I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and quirks. I've got the 2nd book and really hope there will be a 3rd soon! I purchased the Clovenhoof book and will just say, "not a fan."

A very interesting story

I don't often listen to the girl, sci-fi books. This caught my eye when I read a review somewhere that said, "So glad I found this!" It's a very solid start to what could be a great series. I see it was just released in Audible and am kind of disappointed that the other books in the series are not yet recorded. I love the way the author writes fleshes out the characters. Very nuanced. Looking forward to future episodes in the series.

Adds some meat to the bones of the Rivers series

I think this was a worthwhile installment, fleshing out the mentions in the Peter Grant books and giving another view of how Magic is dealt with outside of Britain. I'm waiting very very patiently for the next Grant installment!
