Out on Audiobook Finally!!

If you're like me and started this series years ago this booking finally coming out on Audiobook has been along time coming. That being said, the only real disappointment is the lack of Greg Tremblay. I personally hate when the narrator changes part way through a series. Maybe if these do well, we can get the first few books read by Barnett so it's all the same.

As for the book and the story this follows Alec as he continues to try to take down the Midnight Cabal, all while trying to prevent he's newest client from being killed by someone using magic as a weapon. Oh yea, and Mallory's back with an spiritual hitchhiker.

Overall, Greg Barnett does a great job and the story continues to be entertaining. Excited for the next book to see what happens next!

These books follow Alec Harbinger, a preternatural investigator, and continues to build the group of friends that act as his support as he fights the things that go bump in the night.

This is a Love Story!

I know this book is set in a fantasy military section and all, but don't be fooled this is a love story.

I'll start with the "criticism's" first, they are minor and more observation than true complaint. The narrator isn't necessarily bad, but he's not my favorite. Also I think some of the language was unnecessary. This first book definitely pulls from other fantasy military stories as has been mentioned in other reviews, but has it's on unique twist on the "dead" or life after death.

That being said, the overall story is entertaining. This series follows the Victor Zellmann and Diana, the love of his "afterlife", through their adventures serving in the Necron Marines. If you go into this series understanding that it is a love story set in an fantasy military setting you'll enjoy the books. In this first book its basic training and a general layout of their new life. Though the odds are stacked against them to survive and make it past training, they find each other and help each other through.

Great Series!

This whole series draws you in and leaves you wanting more. It does have kind of a weak ending, but since it leaves you wanting more and there are other books in the series it's ok and doesn't take away from the story.

It's short, but engaging. It's got a great story line that introduces a few characters that you follow through the series. I've read and listened to this series a few times and like it more each time!

Never a Dull Moment!

As the story continues Owen and the other Monster Hunters are on vacation when everything goes wrong. This is another exciting story filled with more explosives and awesome gun fights.

The Best

I think this is probably the best of the series so far. As Prof continues to put together his team and they work on the team dynamics it furthers the ultimate story without pointless filler. I the small little head nods given to different authors or series is also pretty cool.

And as always the performance is awesome!

Interesting Concept

It takes a minute or two to really get into this story. The overall plot has to be explained over time so you are able to follow each character. As it proceeds there are twists that keep you guessing. And betrayals that make you want seek vengeance. Give it a chance and by the end you wont be disappointed.

Another Great Adventure with the Blue Wolf

This was a much more straightforward mission than the last book. Brad tells a great story!

Overall I enjoyed the book. I struggled with the performance some. He does a great job with giving each main character it's own voice and accent, but everyone they meet always sounds the same.

If you're looking for a great on going series, give Blue Wolf a try.

First LitRPG

I go through alot of audiobooks with my job, I listen 5-8 hrs a day while working. I really enjoy book series with a good story that I can enjoy for multiple days of even weeks. If you enjoy a good RPG, give this series a chance. It has an interesting story concept.
Overall I think this audiobook was performed superbly and the narrator did an excellent job of giving life to each character.
Without giving spoilers, I do fear that the main character (who has unlimited potential) may become over powered to quickly and later in the series will resort to using the same spell or action to resolve his issues. But if the author avoids this pitfall this could prove to be an awesome addition to my regularly read series.
