It’s been a while
Revisado: 08-21-23
This book is old.
It’s cover says, “the great American read.”
There is nothing wrong with this book; it is just inaccessible to most high school sophomores.
The themes and morals which drive this book may be as strong as ever, but you’ve lost most teenage readers by the end of Chapter 1.
Perhaps you wanna start at Part 2 if you’re looking for the parts of this book which still resonate today.

Historia
In Sweden there is a kind of decluttering called döstädning, dö meaning "death" and städning meaning "cleaning." This surprising and invigorating process of clearing out unnecessary belongings can be undertaken at any age or life stage but should be done sooner rather than later, before others have to do it for you. In The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning, artist Margareta Magnusson, with Scandinavian humor and wisdom, instructs listeners to embrace minimalism.

Needed a decluttering before publication
Revisado: 07-30-23
The overall message of this book is pretty awesome: get your affairs in order before you die. In particular, don’t leave your loved ones a mess to clean up. Good message.
Throughout the book, the author manages to sprinkle copious amounts of judgement on young people for technology use and the lost art of writing letters.
A few paragraphs could have started, “kids these days,” and whole chapters left me saying, “okay boomer.”
If you’re looking for inspiration to clear out your house, there are a lot better books on the market than this one.

Historia
Doc McCoy is the most skilled criminal alive. But when, for the first time in Doc's long criminal career, his shot doesn't hit the mark, everything begins to fall apart. And Doc begins to realize that the perfect bank robbery isn't complete without the perfect getaway to back it up. The Getaway is the classic story of a bank robbery gone horribly wrong, where the smallest mistakes have catastrophic consequences, and shifting loyalties lead to betrayals and chaos.

Historia
In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

Only Trevor Noah could add levity to Apartheid

This book is awesome.
Trevor’s autobiography, combined with a matter of fact and humorous look at apartheid, make this book both hilarious and informative.
A rare mix indeed.
