So Much Wisdom

Dr Carnahan is my kind of doctor. I related to much of what she wrote in Unexpected. Thank God for doctors who think outside the box. I found this book to be of great value. I enjoyed hearing about Dr Carnahan’s life. Her warmth and personality shined through in her reading of her book.

I enjoyed The Healing Summer. Very original storyline. All the main characters were very likable. Being a California native I especially liked the setting of San Francisco and the history.

I really tried to like this book. I kept hoping it would get more interesting. I had over 2 hours to go until the end when I just had to give up. The story is dull. The only thing that was appealing was the Irish accent of the narrator.

I loved this book! The story kept my interest the entire time. The performance was wonderful. The narrator perfected the sarcastic tone of Nora. Definite plot twist I didn’t see coming.

I loved this book. Lisa Wingate has a way with words. Her descriptions take you into the story. The narrators did an excellent job too. In the early 50’s my father and aunt were sent to an orphanage in the US from Germany. I heard some of the stories. I thought of them many times while listening to the book. Thank you Lisa Wingate for shining a light on the tragedy these families suffered.
