Historia
Every year the people of the Protectorate leave a baby as an offering to the witch who lives in the forest. They hope this sacrifice will keep her from terrorizing their town. But the witch in the forest, Xan, is kind and gentle. She shares her home with a wise Swamp Monster named Glerk and a Perfectly Tiny Dragon, Fyrian. Xan rescues the abandoned children and delivers them to welcoming families on the other side of the forest, nourishing the babies with starlight on the journey.

Historia
Kajal knows she is not a good person. If she were, she wouldn’t selfishly be risking her sister’s soul in a dangerous bid to bring her back to life. She would let Lasya rest in peace—but Kajal cannot stand the horror of living without her. As Kajal prepares for the resurrection, the worst happens: Her sister’s soul warps into a bhuta—a murderous, wraith-like spirit—and Kajal gets sentenced to death for her sister’s rampage. There seems little hope of escape until two strangers offer to free her.

Historia
After a long and eventful life, Allan Karlsson ends up in a nursing home, believing it to be his last stop. The only problem is that he's still in good health, and in one day, he turns 100. A big celebration is in the works, but Allan really isn't interested (and he'd like a bit more control over his vodka consumption). So he decides to escape. He climbs out the window in his slippers and embarks on a hilarious and entirely unexpected journey, involving, among other surprises, a suitcase stuffed with cash.

Racism just isn’t funny
Revisado: 02-23-24
I wanted to enjoy this story but honestly I couldn’t finish it, I got half way though and I no longer found it charming. I wish the book was only the present day story and not the 100 year old man’s past because it just gets so long and filled with racist remarks passed off as oh he’s just old or oh it was of the time. Comparing someone’s language to that of a donkey , just isn’t it. Anywho the narrator is excellent and I think he’s the main reason I got as far as I did.

Historia
Viv's career with the notorious mercenary company Rackam's Ravens isn't going as planned. Wounded during the hunt for a powerful necromancer, she's packed off against her will to recuperate in the sleepy beach town of Murk—so far from the action that she worries she'll never be able to return to it. What's a thwarted soldier of fortune to do? Spending her hours at a beleaguered bookshop in the company of its foul-mouthed proprietor is the last thing Viv would have predicted, but it may be both exactly what she needs and the seed of changes she couldn't possibly imagine.

A lovely prequel
Revisado: 11-28-23
Going into this I didn’t realize this book was set before legends and lattes but once I sunk in it was a wonderful story and I hope there will be more based on the stories of some of the new characters in this tale.
I would be lying if I said it didn’t make me cry a little but only in the best of ways.
It’s a bit more adventure than the first book which I didn’t expect to like as much (I loved the cozy way of legends and lattes) but it was well balanced with the quieter moments and it was never the focus.

When the dragon egg their resident pyromaniac stole hatches to reveal the world’s cuddliest harbinger of death, Timmy and the others are dragged into a pair of diabolically dangerous missions. Revisado: 08-25-23
The world is a wreck and right now I needed something silly, and pure fantasy, and well…this is it. I loved every moment of this goofy tale, and I look forward to reading more, because as the world is on fire around me reading about two necromancers, a dragon and vampire is just the escape I need.
