Incredible & Inspiring Journey
Revisado: 10-28-24
I love this book. It’s been on my Wish list for quite some time. I’m so glad I listened. Rich is the man and the real deal.
Rich - you probably don’t remember me. I met you in 2007 at McChord AFB, WA when you & Aldean played a USO show for the USAF troops in an aircraft hanger. I was volunteering to setup and got the opportunity to help you setup your drum kit. We chatted a bit. Man, you were so cool and genuine. I’ve been drumming for 20+ years with mild success. You’ve been a North Star for me throughout my career and I appreciate hearing your journey and about CRASH. Thank you for sharing this with me and the world.

Brilliant Masterpiece
Revisado: 10-23-24
I’ve read all seven of Jack Carr’s Terminal List series books and have thoroughly enjoyed each. This book, is on another level. I was born November 1983 and have known very little about the 1983 Marine barracks bombing and embassy bombing in Beirut. Learning about the men, those who perished or were wounded in those heinous acts of terrorism, was extremely moving. I had teary eyes multiple times throughout this book. It similarly made me ponder moments in my own deployment to Kandahar Air Base, Afghanistan, in 2009-2010 as a USAF Security Forces member, safeguarding US & NATO forces and assets during a hostile war there. THANK YOU Jack Carr & James M. Scott for sharing this brilliant masterpiece with me and the world. Keep on writing! These are stories that NEED to be told. Please also bring your book tour to Tacoma, WA so I can shake your hand.

Historia
Travis Barker's soul-baring memoir chronicles the highlights and lowlights of the renowned drummer's art and his life, including the harrowing plane crash that nearly killed him and his traumatic road to recovery. After breaking out as the acclaimed drummer of the multiplatinum punk band Blink-182, everything changed for Travis Barker. But the dark side of rock stardom took its toll: His marriage, chronicled for an MTV reality show, fell apart. Constant touring concealed a serious drug addiction. A reckoning did not truly come until he was forced to face mortality.

Can A Drummer Get Some
Revisado: 06-10-21
This is such a captivating story. I couldn’t stop listening. I’m a 37 yr old drummer from NH, was in marching band in high school, and moved to Seattle to pursue playing in rock bands which is where I reside today. Lots of Travis’s early days of drumming, I can relate to. I was a huge fan of TRL and Blink 182. Many times on the kit, I’ve played along to Blink records and Boxcar Racer, always to be worn out at the end. His beats are fast, catchy, and so well developed. The world needs more Travis Barker’s because drummers are the best. Thanks to Travis for bringing this story to light with the good and the bad. It all makes him the good dude he is today.

Historia
Amazon.com started off delivering books through the mail. But its visionary founder, Jeff Bezos, wasn't content with being a bookseller. He wanted Amazon to become the everything store, offering limitless selection and seductive convenience at disruptively low prices. To do so, he developed a corporate culture of relentless ambition and secrecy that's never been cracked. Until now.

At once profoundly personal and far-reaching, Exit Interview with My Grandmother serves as a meditation on the beginning of a young woman’s life and the series of questions that arise from examining love, loss, family, memory, and death. Moving between cities and centuries, Meyersohn probes her family's Jewish history and her grandparents' relationships in part to decipher her own young queer relationships, but also to examine how we ought to behave in the face of a world riddled with uncertainty and doubt.

I knew Bill Gates does his research on everything he gets his hands on, but this book especially shows the depth that he will go to understand the issue and provide ways to navigate to plausible/beneficial solutions. This is a great book and I’ll likely listen to it again.
