Historia
In the shadow of an old Bacchus Hill, bricks and stone were the only things standing from a time long past and only a handful of men could recall its former glory. Among them were his bestfriend Alistair, ‘The Lion” Bacchus. Lennox Marshall was always his trusted confidant for all things related to ‘the hill.’ For them, past events carried both fond memories and haunting secrets, a time when men settled matters with their fists or raucous pub brawl. But in this new evolved world, life had turned into a mess of deceit, hidden behind computer screens, and cloaked in technology. Lennox...

Loved Lennox and Kiman’s story
Revisado: 02-23-24
Virtual voice sucks! It interfered with the enjoyment of the book. Please do not use virtual voice. Otherwise I love how Lennox and Kiman finally came together.

Loved the diverse characters ethnicity and life experiences. More of a deeper dive on that would have been great. Hope there is a sequel.

Narrator is Awesome!
Revisado: 09-24-18
The story is interesting but it is the narrator that makes the difference. I have read almost all of the books in this series and I am blown away by her ability to voice so many different characters. Especially the men, holy cow, I had to keep checking if in fact there was a male narrator listed with the female. Side note, love all of the brothers in series!

Phoebe Alexis Courtland had a plan. As a paralegal studying for the bar, she decided while in Vegas for a conference she would let off some steam with her friends. Phoebe remembers nothing of her drunken night of love and is determined to have the marriage annulled immediately.

Change the cover or change the narrator!
Revisado: 07-26-18
The cover shows an African-American woman but the narrators voice most definitely was not. Very misleading! Otherwise the whiney tone of the author and the character was distracting. Not the most enjoyable of audio books.
