Loving God with all our heart, mind and soul look like this.

This book has impacted my faith in ways that astound me. I am truly inspired by this young woman, her family and the life that she leads! I pray that I might be able to live my faith like this when difficulties arise.
I have been truly blessed by the honor of listening to this audiobook. I intend to purchase the book and, hopefully, do a book study on it with a group of friends.
May God bless Katie and her beautiful family plus her ministry.

Lewis and his partner, Captain William Clark, endured incredible hardships and witnessed astounding sights. With great perseverance, they worked their way into an unexplored West. When they returned two years later, they had long since been given up for dead.

Poor writing and narration.
Revisado: 09-28-16
I was anxious to hear this story. Unfortunately, the author narrates the book herself and does a very poor job. Her voice is not pleasing to listen to. She does not change intonation or voice when she does different characters so it becomes confusing to determine who is speaking.
I felt that the writing was very poorly done. Much time was spent going into great detail about unimportant details of the scene. Much of the information was given over and over again. I feel that the book could've been done in one quarter the amount of time.
I am sure that the book could have been better with better writing and narration. It certainly has a good underlying story.

Disappointed
Revisado: 06-01-15
The first two books of the series were very good, plus great narration and I was looking forward to this book. Unfortunately, this book was quite disappointing. The narrator was terrible. Very hard to hear what he was saying because his voice was so deep. I would not have continued to listen to the book if it wasn't part of the series. The story was not the best either. Not at all worth the time.

What disappointed you about Bridge to Haven?
I absolutely LOVE Francine Rivers books.....except for this one. I decided to give myself a break and quit listening in the middle of the book. It was just too depressing.

What did you love best about Half Broke Horses?
I loved everything about this book. The book is extremely well written. Great story and I love that it is based on the author's grandmother's actual life. I was sad that it had to end. Make certain that you listen to the very end because the author tells us about how she wrote the story. I really enjoyed that also.
Have you listened to any of Jeannette Walls’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I also listened to The Glass Castle. I thoroughly enjoyed both books.

Any additional comments?
This book is extremely well written and the narrators were absolutely excellent. The story draws you in quickly and always holds your interest. The only drawback is that the story is often very sad. I was glad that I listened to the author's explanation of this at the end of the book.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I didn't feel that the story was very well written. It was not worth the time. I did not want to finish listening to the book, but my husband insisted that we listen to the end.
