Advise for a very select group of privileged people

I was hoping this book would provide guidance for twenty-somethings in a wide range of circumstances. Though it provided a few bits of useful wisdom for the masses, the book is written for folks in their 20s who have at least a bachelors degree and their big dilemma is what to do next. Shall I travel the world and study craft beer? Go to law or medical school? Stay in therapy? What will my second major be? The book could be called Educated, Whining, Fortunate Brats In Their Twenty’s - The Charmed Life. The sleep inducing voice of the narrator is best suited for bedtime stories.

Beautiful story

First, I don’t read love stories. This one caught my eye because of the setting in Sicily. Longing to know the area of my own heritage I gave this audible book a chance. I’m so glad I did! Beautiful story rich with romance, love, family and culture, all read by the author whose voice and inflection was perfect. I felt like I was sitting at the kitchen table with the author and her mother-in-law and I was sad when it ended because I wanted to stay with the characters and follow them further in their lives.

I’ve been a fan for decades of Barry’s writing and a dog lover all of my life, but this one, this endearing and humorous audible collection read by the author, beats everything. I thoroughly enjoyed every word of it and have listened to some chapters again a few times to play them for others. Very uplifting, funny, and believe it or not there’s practical advice here. This is a must listen.
