I found myself listening and wondering if I agreed with some of the conclusions. I did find value in it though. That said, it would have been nice to have seen some more examples of practical applications. Unfortunately it was light on that front. Maybe that’s for another book.

Always Timely

I first read this book about 30 years ago. At that time I was writing a paper for school and my folks recommended it. I got so much more out of it than I ever expected. If you’ve read this before, looking for a refresher, or dipping your toe for the first time, this is a book worth exploring.

Blackout Turns the Lights On

When I picked this book up I really didn’t know what to expect. I knew Candace’s name but I didn’t completely know her background or story. Wow, I am so glad I read it.
Learning more about the history of the black people and the Democratic Party was truly eye opening. I really appreciated the way she presented the history and long-standing agendas actively going on still to this day.
For anyone interested in learning more, I highly recommend this book. Enjoy!
