Historia
Patric Gagne realized she made others uncomfortable before she started kindergarten. Something about her caused people to react in a way she didn’t understand. She suspected it was because she didn’t feel things the way other kids did. Emotions like fear, guilt, and empathy eluded her. For the most part, she felt nothing. And she didn’t like the way that “nothing” felt.

Raw, honest, insightful, intriguing
Revisado: 10-15-24
I love this memoir! It was well written and narrated. Quite honestly, I didnt want it to end. Patric was so brave and courageous to tell her story. She took a huge risk. She was so driven and motivated to understand why she’s “different”. She longs to be accepted, to be unapologetically herself. Her intelligence, extensive research and experience will not only help fellow sociopaths but their family and fiends who love them. Her relationship with David is true love and dedication. Patric is an amazing story teller! She had me laughing out loud at times. Man, I freaking loved this memoir!!!!

Historia
The first story Selma Blair Beitner ever heard about herself is that she was a mean, mean baby. With her mouth pulled in a perpetual snarl and a head so furry it had to be rubbed to make way for her forehead, Selma spent years living up to her terrible reputation: biting her sisters, lying spontaneously, getting drunk from Passover wine at the age of seven, and behaving dramatically so that she would be the center of attention. In a memoir that is as wildly funny as it is emotionally shattering, Blair tells the captivating story of growing up and finding her truth.

Loved it!
Revisado: 02-14-23
Loved how she told her story. It was raw, honest and sincere. Displayed accountability, sorrow, regret, grief, forgiveness, gratitude and love. The telling of her struggles to see light and maintain happiness were intriguing. Gracefully, coming to terms with her demons and her disease. She is finally shining on the inside and loving herself❣️

In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

I wish I would have found this book sooner, like 20 years ago sooner! Im glad I stumbled a crossed it 2 days ago. I’ve listened to it for the past two days and it’s been helpful. It’s been very enlightening and I have a clearer path as to what boundaries I need to put in place. Its made me hopeful that my loved one can still lead a clean and sober life when they are ready. I will do the right thing no matter how hard it is! Thank you for writing this book Joe Herzanek, I will definitely recommend it to those that I think may need it.
