Historia
After forming a coalition of human resistance against the enemy invasion, Dalinar Kholin and his Knights Radiant have spent a year fighting a protracted, brutal war. Neither side has gained an advantage, and the threat of a betrayal by Dalinar’s crafty ally Taravangian looms over every strategic move. Now, as new technological discoveries by Navani Kholin’s scholars begin to change the face of the war, the enemy prepares a bold and dangerous operation. The arms race that follows will challenge the very core of the Radiant ideals.

Old English is hard
Revisado: 10-28-22
It takes awhile to get used to the old English phrasing and expressions of Lewis's time but it quickly has a lost charm. After you decipher the writ, you have to learn the vocabulary for all the names, creatures, and cosmology Lewis creates. after all that is solidified in your head, a beautiful narrative unfolds. It is fun and fascinating unraveling the spiritual parallels that Lewis lays out on his own understanding of God through this Sci-fi lense. It's also interesting how all these older writers tap into a collective consciousness with their books ending in the form of "this is all real but would not be understood or absorbed unless presented in a fable".

Historia
A clear-sighted revelation, a deep penetration into the world of Scientology by the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Looming Tower, the now-classic study of al-Qaeda’s 9/11 attack. Based on more than two hundred personal interviews with current and former Scientologists—both famous and less well known—and years of archival research, Lawrence Wright uses his extraordinary investigative ability to uncover for us the inner workings of the Church of Scientology.

Careful Construction
Revisado: 10-19-22
it is amazing in the court evidence section of the book, when the IRS is bringing charges against the church to loose their religion status, that L. Ron Hubbard had orchestrated his religion so precise that he accounted for all aspects of Scientology to reflect how the other organized religions operate. Genius really.

Historia
Tim Kennedy has a problem; he only feels alive right before he’s about to die. Kennedy, a Green Beret, decorated Army sniper, and UFC headliner, has tackled a bull with his bare hands, jumped out of airplanes, dove to the depths of the ocean, and traveled the world hunting poachers, human traffickers, and the Taliban. But he’s also the same man who got kicked out of the police department, fire department, and as an EMT, before getting two women pregnant four days apart, and finally, been beaten up by his Special Forces colleagues.

unbelievable life
Revisado: 07-14-22
this story is almost unbelievable. the amount of near misses and bravado for action hero stories and feats leads one to skepticism unless you've been following Tim Kennedy's career and life for a while. this guy is as real as he gets. he deserves the Captain America title and moniker from Randy couture

Historia
Over two grim nights in Los Angeles, the young followers of Charles Manson murdered seven people, including the actress Sharon Tate, then eight months pregnant. With no mercy and seemingly no motive, the Manson Family followed their leader's every order. Twenty years ago, when journalist Tom O'Neill was reporting a magazine piece about the murders, he worried there was nothing new to say. Then he unearthed shocking evidence of a cover-up behind the "official" story, including police carelessness, legal misconduct, and potential surveillance by intelligence agents.

So many angles, not enough time
Revisado: 07-07-22
Interesting points of view of alternative angles to string a narrative through all possible possibilities, conspiracy or official alike. IMO, There is no way Manson could have not have had financial support to do all those things he has done over the years. the point of getting a constant stream of acid to brainwash his followers has to be more money than he had access to. even if he traded sex for drugs.

A Good Testimony on a Second Life
Revisado: 12-15-21
Trejo paints a good picture in his own words, albeit it sounds like he struggles often. His testimony on being raised a criminal and gangster, to serving much jail time, to finally giving his life over to God is a humbling story. He never forgot where he came from but remembered to never return there. All the whole living a moving example of being Christ-like and giving back to the world around him. The more he gave, the more he received. The trajectory of growth is amazing
