Well written and Well performed
Revisado: 04-10-19
I admit I watched the movie by Miyazaki way before deciding to read the book. My husband told me the book is almost completely different from the book, but both equally well made. Now that I listened through it, I agree with him. The narration was beautifully performed with the vocal inflections smooth and character voices distinct. I highly recommend this audiobook to others.

Historia
President William Darcy has it all: wealth, intelligence, and the most powerful job in the country. Despite what his friends say, he is not lonely in the White House. He’s not. And he has vowed not to date while he’s in office. Nor is he interested in Elizabeth Bennet. She might be pretty and funny and smart, but her family is nouveau riche and unbearable. Unfortunately, he encounters her everywhere in Washington, DC - making her harder and harder to ignore.

Really Well Made Modern Take on P&P
Revisado: 04-10-19
I could not stop listening to this audiobook. Emerson did a wonderful job reading it. I loved Victoria Kincaid's spin on the Bennet family. Elizabeth and Darcy's interactions were beautifully written. This is a definite must-read.

The morning after the Netherfield ball, Elizabeth Bennet refuses an offer of marriage, setting off a row in the Bennet household that ends tragically. Faced with homelessness and untenable poverty, Elizabeth receives a different sort of offer - from quite an unexpected quarter - and finds herself considering the once-inconceivable prospect of going into trade.

Great read

I loved her take on the characters. She gave a bit more life to the more neglected sisters while keeping to character. I will most definitely come back to reread this book.

Historia
Few subjects are as compelling-or as endlessly variable-as love and marriage. The Bible is filled with references to husbands and wives, from the story of Adam and Eve to advice in the New Testament, each open to interpretation. In The Meaning of Marriage, Timothy Keller, pastor of New York's Redeemer Presbyterian Church and bestselling author of The Reason for God, uses the scriptures as his guide to show readers what God's call to marriage is, and why this is such a powerful call.

A must read for Singles or Married couples.
Revisado: 06-12-16
Very well-narrated. Tim Keller really helps put marriage into perspective from God's point of view, separating the current modern culture POV and assumptions or even the traditional Christian POV from that of God.
