Historia
Seeking women ages 18-32 to participate in a study on ethics and morality. Generous compensation. Anonymity guaranteed. When Jessica Farris signs up for a psychology study conducted by the mysterious Dr. Shields, she thinks all she’ll have to do is answer a few questions, collect her money, and leave. But as the questions grow more and more intense and invasive and the sessions become outings where Jess is told what to wear and how to act, she begins to feel as though Dr. Shields may know what she’s thinking...and what she’s hiding.

When you think you know - you don’t know.
Revisado: 09-02-21
Beautifully crafted story detailing a variety of ethical and moral challenges - Completely unpredictable. I enjoyed the depth of these female characters, as well. Their careers, family, loves and losses were explored in a benign manner, made me feel as though anyone could be them, which added to the chilling of this psychological thriller.

Incredibly written and read.
Revisado: 03-16-21
Her voice is normal. Her voice is exactly how your best friend speaks, your sister speaks, or the customer service rep that helped you last week speaks. She is you, me, and everyone that has been been given titles they didn’t ask for.
I mean this in the absolute best way possible. Chanel Miller is perfectly, her imperfect self; as we all are.
Know my name is brilliantly written at a level that all readers can understand both the actual language and the events that occurred in her life.
This is a cultural best read in my opinion and hope that progressive English teachers in American high schools across our country assign the reporting and report findings of this book to their students about the severity of disrespectful behavior and sexual misconducts.
