Historia
In this “vital, necessary, and beautiful book” (Michael Eric Dyson), antiracist educator Robin DiAngelo deftly illuminates the phenomenon of white fragility and “allows us to understand racism as a practice not restricted to 'bad people'" (Claudia Rankine). Referring to the defensive moves white people make when challenged racially, white fragility is characterized by emotions such as anger, fear, and guilt and by behaviors including argumentation and silence. These behaviors, in turn, function to reinstate white racial equilibrium and prevent meaningful cross-racial dialogue.

The claims are not all logical
Revisado: 06-06-20
This book is not terrible to listen to and the author does make some points that I can agree with. With that said, more of the claims are not logical at all. The statistics are insanely out of context as well. Also, she does not really get into black culture or black history to the point where we can examine why some of her claims are true.
The worst part is the author has stories that make very little sense. The stories are incomplete. For example, the fact that a white teacher called a black girl, ‘girl’. She stated it was offensive. Why?? That seems crazy! If I had a reason why the word ‘girl’ was offensive I could maybe understand. Also the story about mentioning the way a black girl had her hair. Again, why are these things offensive? Maybe I am wrong, but I feel ALL people, black and white, get offended over too little things sometimes.
This book is also pretty repetitive and redundant. Lol.
In conclusion, I feel this book could have put things in a better reference to help people relate more to the concerns.

What can a game clan accomplish without a castle? The answer is obvious: nothing. Therefore, the main objective of any leader in a game world is to acquire a base of operations. Finding himself in exactly this position, High Shaman Mahan, leader of the Legends of Barliona, accepts an offer from the Emperor and the Dark Lord to vanquish the army of Phantoms that has inhabited Altameda, the phantom castle.

I have listened to the whole series to this point. All of the audiobooks have been pretty entertaining and worth the listen up until this one. The narrator does an amazing job, aside from one annoying voice imitation. It was done intentionally, but he made the imitation talk so slow I wanted to double my listen speed.
This is the first story the plot slows way down. Many of the main toons are out of the scenario for weeks. The leading toon seems lost the whole time, and I felt like the book was soooo slow!! The whole point of this book was leading character claiming a castle. If you like the series, you can probably skip this one. I just hope the next one is better or I am done with this.
Hope this helps.

Men: Are you in a sexless marriage? Divorced and don’t want to go through that nightmare again? You're not alone. There are a lot of men out there not happy with their sex lives. What is going on? Is the tried-and-true stereotype of the undersexed husband and the cold, bossy wife inevitable? Are monogamous relationships doomed to such a pitiful state? Is that just the way marriage is? I don't think so.

Ok, so if you are a Christian with strong Biblical morals, this book needs to be listened to with a very strong filter. The author goes so far to say, it is ok to be attracted to other girls. We as men, are fallen and do notice other girls. The Bible calls that adultery. The author also states that a female that knows her man is watching porn may want to watch with him as a turn on. Again, adultery. This is sin. Do not listen to everything he has to say. But, with that in mind, it does talk about how the secular world views things and may explain how your wife feels. Take this all into consideration, and in the end pray and consult with God.

I listened to all the audiobooks in the series up to this one. It was a decent series. I struggle to keep finding good material since I listen to about 60 books per year. This book is awful. The book is all over the place, many events are backtracked and retold for the other books, and worst of all is narrator was terrible. Do not waste a credit, money, or time on this.

Ok, so the story does get a little cheesy at times, especially the ending. With that said, it is tastefully executed as far as having a combination of fantasy and historical fiction.

Pretty good, it’s worth the time
Revisado: 09-18-19
Ok, so nothing is terrible about this, in fact overall it is a good story and decent audio.
The only reason I gave performance 3 is because of the background music was awful and a little distracting. There was times I had trouble hearing the actual book because the music was so loud as well. The actual narrator was good. I liked the character voice changes and the tone.
The story was a little cheesy at times, but it was good. There were a few twists that I did not see coming. It is always good when you can not finish the story for the author the way they would.

Refreshing Unique Perspective
Revisado: 05-22-18
This story was very interesting. The author thought about this from a very unique perspective. I would probably give this 4.5 if that was an option. I have never listened to an audiobook quite like this. I strongly recommend this to anyone that is even remotely interested in sci fi books.
