Historia
The Origin of Humankind is Richard Leakey's personal view of the development of Homo sapiens. At the heart of his new picture of evolution is the introduction of a heretical notion: Once the first apes walked upright, the evolution of modern humans became possible and perhaps inevitable. From this one evolutionary step comes all the other evolutionary refinements and distinctions that set the human race apart from the apes.

Historia
Gee Whiz is a striking horse, and only part of that is because of his size. He is tall, but also graceful, yet his strides big but precise. At the same time, he keeps his eye on things, not as if he's suspicious, but as if he's curious. When Abby is confronted with an onslaught of reminders of just how little of the world she has seen, she finds herself connecting with Gee Whiz's calm and curious nature, and his desire to know more.

A hard look into the reality of making a living training horses
Revisado: 02-22-24
Can’t afford a horse? Live vicariously thru the life of Jules Thornton as she lives the dream of training and showing evening horses. Laugh and cry with the heartbreak of the reality of the sport of kings. The narration by a professional actress makes you forget this is just a story. I’m on my second time listening to the life of Jules and Pete and Micky and all the others horses. My mother used to cuff me about the ears because she would catch me reading horse stories instead of doing chores. Well take that ma, I’m listening to the best one yet!

Historia
The Indigenous Paleolithic of the Western Hemisphere is a reclaimed history of the deep past of Indigenous people in North and South America during the Paleolithic. Paulette F. C. Steeves mines evidence from archaeology sites and Paleolithic environments, landscapes, and mammalian and human migrations to make the case that people have been in the Western Hemisphere not only just prior to Clovis sites (10,200 years ago) but for more than 60,000 years, and likely more than 100,000 years.

Why it’s important to read the reviews first!
Revisado: 12-20-23
I was expecting a detailed itemization of archeological sites I was not expecting politics. While it is an important topic, the title doesn’t say, to my ears that this is a book that would use soft science ideas such a healing and storytelling to change proven scientific fact. Like the other reader said, can I get my money back?
Disclaimer. I’m indigenous to Mexico. I’ve had my share of racism by “American “ Indians that hate everything about the white mans borders except the one that separates the noble artisans of pottery and turquoise from the dirty Mexican

Historia
Ehd's a caveman living on his own in a harsh wilderness. He's strong and intelligent but completely alone. When he finds a beautiful, young woman in his pit trap, it's obvious to him that she is meant to be his mate. Elizabeth doesn't know where she is or exactly how she got there. She's not at all interested in Ehd's primitive advances, and she just can't seem to get him to listen. No matter what she tries, getting her point across to this primitive but beautiful man is a constant - and often hilarious - struggle.

The most boring Ted talk ever
Revisado: 06-03-23
Hire a voice actor you greedy fudge. You don’t read your own writing like your getting drunk with your friends at the pub. A voice actor knows how to carry a story. They practice getting the tone of the story. They don’t just read a bunch of facts they’ve collected. I was really excited about this book but now I Need to call my friends and apologize. It’s late and I have a headache. Voice acting gets good money for a reason. I’ll still listen but maybe the freeway.

Historia
Joe Dispenza, DC, has spent decades studying the human mind-how it works, how it stores information, and why it perpetuates the same behavioral patterns over and over. In the acclaimed film What the Bleep Do We Know!?, he began to explain how the brain evolves - by learning new skills, developing the ability to concentrate in the midst of chaos, and even healing the body and the psyche. Evolve Your Brain presents this information in depth, while helping you take control of your mind.

Appreciate the art of voice actors now
Revisado: 05-29-23
I was really looking forward to this theory and a good story, but the writer should have let a voice actor read for him. Sometimes he read like he was proofreading, sometimes he got excited and read to fast. I appreciate a good voice actor much more now that I’ve been listening to more audible

Didn’t care for the narrator’s voice at all. Also felt there was too much hate and violence.
